Azur Lane Ying Swei 1/7 Scale Figure

Taking figure complexity to the extreme
From the brand new figure company Neonmax comes their second figure to release. Ying Swei has an ambitious design which has set the bar very high for future Azur Lane figures.

I was worried about buying such a complex a figure from an unknown company and their first figure release didn't help to alleviate my concerns.

Bur in saying that... overall, Ying Swei came out good. She is separated into 9 pieces that you have to assemble, making her the most complex figure I've ever seen, and some parts felt very fragile while assembling. I encourage taking a lot of care with this one.

The box was bigger than normal, but not the largest figure box I've ever received. The blister had multiple layers, lots of protective plastic coverings and metal twist ties to keep it safely together.

All of the parts assembled firmly.

The base is very solid, and I love the textured pattern. It doesn't feel like pvc but something stronger.

She does feel very high quality and exceptionally beautiful.

Unfortunately though she loses a star because the glossy paint Neonmax chose to use for the dress when shone in the light clearly shows off any defects, and to much sadness I was able to spot a few scratches and dents. Luckily, all but 1 of these scratches are not visible while on display in the cabinet, only when bright light is reflecting off the enamel coating of the paint.

Still, I am happy I purchased her and look forward to adding her sister to my collection later in the year.
