About Kagamine Len

Kagamine Len is the other half of Kagamine Rin. While they are mistaken to be twins and siblings, they are, in fact, just mirror images of each other.

About Kagamine Len: Background

In the game Project Sekai Colorful Stage, he appears as a virtual singer to help young people understand their true feelings. He is depicted as a cheerful character and an actor in training. He greatly respects KAITO and his acting ability.

Kagamine Rin and Len were released in 2007 and sold over 20,000 copies in their initial release. This was considered a great success back in this era. Using their Vocaloid, there have been many songs that have met with great success. They have multiple songs that have over ten million views and are one of the most successful vocaloids produced. Their famous songs include Tokyo Teddy Bear, produced by Orebanana-P, Lost One no Goukoku, produced by Neru, and Roki, produced by Mikito-P. And Karma, produced by Circus-P. These songs, in particular, have accumulated over ten million views.

About Kagamine Len: Abilities

Kagamine Len is known to complement Len’s vocals. Their voice uses samples from the singer Asami Shimoda. Unlike Hatsune Miku, Rin and Len’s vocals have been quite hard to use due to their extremely high pitch. An extremely high vocal range, even for a Vocaloid, and for some, this is seen as uncomfortable. Due to their high range, Len was not listed as a “male” Vocaloid. However, their high-pitch voice is unique and becomes very addictive, hence the reason for many popular songs using their voices.

Other Important Vocaloid Characters

Through both the game Project Sekai Colorful Stage and in a general sense, Kagamine Rin and Len are often associated and compared to Hatsune Miku. However, the two noticeably contrast each other with their color themes. In the game, they hold very strong relationships with the other vocaloids (virtual singers.)

Kagamine Rin

Kagamine Rin is the twin of Kagamine Len. Contrasting Hatsune Miku, the two use the color yellow. As a result, they are well-known for their iconic yellow color. In addition, they are known for their extremely high pitch, which is almost impossible to sing at. In the game Project Sekai Colorful Stage, Kagamine Rin is Len’s vocal twin, and their relationship “setting” is said to change depending on the song.

KAITO

KAITO is a fellow virtual singer in Project Sekai Colorful Stage. Kagamine Len is shown to have great respect for Kaito and will often go to him for advice. However, the amount of respect Len shows Kaito varies, and occasionally, depending on the stage, he becomes reluctant to show obvious signs of respect due to Kaito’s off-putting attitude.
