Alternate Title

狐狸之声

Synopsis

Hu Li is a talented ghost singer and songwriter with a large scar on his face. Kong Que is a gorgeous idol who can’t sing or songwrite to save his life. Though their personalities couldn’t be more different, both want to claw their way to the top in the world of show business… So, in an unusual alliance for the industry, they’ll work together to accomplish just that. They will definitely be busy butting heads and challenging rivals while they do so, though!

Background

Written and illustrated by Chinese mangaka Guang Xian Jun, Voice of Fox began as a manga that was serialized in 7-Day Comic from June 2015 to September 2016. A sequel began serialization but is currently on hiatus.

Scheduled to premiere on AT-X beginning Oct. 5, the anime features the opening theme “COME:BACK Stage!” performed by LoveDesire and the ending theme “HOPE” by Kano.

Characters

Hu Li (Voiced by: Kengo Kawanishi)

A poor but talented high school student, Hu Li can often be found wearing a fox mask to hide the large facial scar he got in a previous car accident. He is the ghost singer and songwriter for the idol Kong Que, though he does also publish his own popular music online under the alias “Mr. Fox.” Hu Li is smart, passionate, and relatively cheerful despite certain hardships in life. He is also considerate of his friends, though he does end up teasing Kong Que often.

Kong Que (Voiced by: Hisayoshi Suganuma)

A gorgeous and popular idol, Kong Que is an idol who has absolutely no talent for either singing or songwriting. He has the personality of a prideful prince, and often butts into situations, even when he isn’t needed or wanted. His appearance is one of the most important things to him, and he’s prone to checking up on it about every three minutes in the mirror. He has a pretentious way of speaking by inserting English randomly into his sentences. Despite the fact that he needs Hu Li to succeed, Kong Que regards him more like disposable goods even though he himself is prone to making dumb mistakes.

Ji Hetian (Voiced by: Satoshi Hino)

A 15-year-old popular singer, Ji Hetian is also a platinum record holder. Fans are certain that he has the voice of an angel. His personality is mature for his age. Though he has a gentle appearance, he is almost always smirking, though no one knows exactly what he’s thinking.

Chuyun (Voiced by: Arisa Kouri)

A member of the idol group LOVE SEASONS, Chuyun is the childhood friend of Hu Li. Thanks to her feelings for him, she’s beginning to experience her first love in life. Though she can be kind, she’s always bringing Kong Que around to see how Hu Li will respond…but his reactions are always late or way off the mark, which gets her extremely irritated.
