Jack Skellington is one of the most beloved movie heroes for two reasons. First, his journey to discovering his inner emptiness and how to feel fulfilled is incredibly relatable. Second, his design is amazing. Disney has capitalized on Jack's iconic looks since the film's release in 1993. BE@RBRICK The Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington 100% & 400%

The Pumpkin King looks as confident and scary as ever in this BE@RBRICK figure from Medicom Toy. Jack's pinstripe suit has been crisply reproduced. Wobbly lines on the arms and legs of the suit nod to the stylized design from the movie. His nostrils are lined up with the tiny bear nose on the face, lining up his skull design with the figure. His wide, cocky smile stretches across the width of the figure head, nearly wrapping around to the back side. The creases around his narrowed eyes help convey his skilled and scary nature. As an extra detail, the eyes on his bat tie are orange, providing the figure with a pop of color.

About Jack Skellington

Jack Skellington is the film's protagonist and the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town. He is a tall skeleton wearing a pinstripe suit with a bat-shaped bow tie. The film follows Jack's discovery of a different holiday-themed town and his misadventures bringing Halloween and Christmas together. The character has appeared in various Disney media including cameos and video game releases. He plays a somewhat significant role in the Kingdom Hearts game franchise, particularly in Kingdom Hearts II. As one of Disney's most popular characters, Jack has received praise from critics for his realism as a town hero. His popularity has also led to his inclusion in the cast of meetable characters at several Disney Theme Parks.

Other Important The Nightmare Before Christmas Characters

As the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, Jack interacts with all of the town's citizens. His most significant relationships come out of his eventual romance and showdown with the film's antagonist.

Sally

Sally is a Frankenstein's monster-type character and Jack Skellington's love interest in the film. She is an animated ragdoll originally patched together by Doctor Finkelstein. Her shy and loving demeanor doesn't prevent her from speaking her mind to Jack about his holiday mixing plans. She attempts to foil his plans but is ultimately unsuccessful. When trying to free Santa Claus from Oogie Boogie, Sally ends up captured as well. At the end of the film, Sally finally confesses her feelings to Jack and they share love's first kiss. Sally is considered a highly relatable character by critics, despite her fantasy origins. Like Jack, Sally also appears in many Disney properties and video games as a result of her popularity.

Oogie Boogie

Oogie Boogie is the main antagonist in The Nightmare Before Christmas. He is a burlap sack filled with insects and spiders with a snake for a tongue. His name and design are based on the legend of the Bogeyman, which Oogie Boogie states in his solo song. He lives in an underground lair filled with torture devices and gambling tables. Oogie Boogie commands his henchmen to capture Santa Claus, who Oogie Boogie attempts to eat in a snake and spider stew. After foiling Sally's rescue attempt, Oogie Boogie is defeated by Jack and Santa returns home to Christmas Town. Oogie Boogie appears as the main villain for Jack Skellington in his video game appearances.
