OtapediaLevi Ackerman Attack on Titan - Figures

The Attack on Titan franchise is an incredibly popular manga series that is authored by Hajime Isayama and was first serialized by Kodansha in 2009. The post-apocalyptic setting, thrilling action, and intriguing mysteries caught the attention of millions of readers around the world, which resulted in the series getting an anime adaptation produced by Wit Studio and Production I.G. in April 2013. The resounding success of the Attack on Titan first season caused the series to explode in popularity as a whole. There are currently over thirty volumes of the manga published and four seasons of the anime adaptation, as well as several OVAs, spin-offs, games, novels, movies, and various other media projects. Due to its incredible popularity, companies were quick to make many kinds of products to satisfy fans’ desire to collect merchandise. While this includes things like apparel, charms, art books, and other trinkets, figures are one of the most popular types of collectibles that fans enjoy. This is especially true for figures of Levi Ackerman, a fan-favorite character from the series. Out of the several dozen Levi figures available for fans to collect, some of the most popular include the “Levi 1/8th Scale Figure | Attack on Titan”, the “figma Levi”, and the “DXF: Attack on Titan Cleaning Levi”.

Levi 1/8th Scale Figure | Attack on Titan

This scale figure from Good Smile Company features the Captain of the Special Operations Squad in the middle of an attack against the Titans. He is posed wearing the standard Survey Corps uniform, complete with brown jacket with the Corps logo on the back, white slacks, brown boots, and harness used to support his vertical maneuvering gear. The green cape flowing behind Levi helps portray a sense of motion as he holds two ultrahard steel blades in his signature style that allow him to unleash devastating spinning attacks. As Levi seems to glide effortlessly through the air, he glares toward a Titan below him, which returns Levi’s glare with its own. This Titan also serves as a base for the figure and one of Levi’s feet is connected to it, albeit in a subtle way.

  • Manufacturer: Good Smile Company
  • Sculptor: Akatsuki
  • Specifications: Painted, non-articulated, 1/8 scale ABS and ATBC-PVC figure with stand

figma Levi Figure

This figure from Max Factory’s figma line takes Levi in his Survey Corps uniform and adds several points of articulation and extra parts to let users pose the character in a variety of different ways to recreate iconic scenes from the manga or anime. While many different poses are possible for this figure, it lends itself much better to more action-oriented poses. Parts like the vertical maneuvering gear and ultrahard steel blades make it easy to make Levi look like he is flying through the air right before striking a Titan down. Several different facial expressions are included as well to better match a given pose. The included stand is also articulated, which lets Levi stand on the ground or hover in the air, depending on what pose the user is looking for.

  • Manufacturer: Max Factory
  • Specifications: Painted, articulated, non-scale figure with stand
  • Height (Approx.): 140 mm

DXF: Attack on Titan Cleaning Levi Figure

This figure from Banpresto’s DXF line shows an entirely different side of the cold-hearted Captain Levi’s personality, his clean freak side. Although he still wears his long boots and harness from the Survey Corps uniform, this rendition of Levi also wears bandanas over his face and hair to keep dust at bay. Instead of an ultrahard steel blade, Levi’s weapon of choice against dirt is a cloth duster that he holds in one hand. He is posed standing coolly as he pulls the bandana covering his face down as if he has just finished dusting the room he is in. This figure is also limited edition, so fans are sure to want to add it to their collection.

  • Release Date: January 2015
  • Manufacturer: Banpresto
  • Specifications: Painted, non-articulated, non-scale figure with stand
  • Height (Approx.): 16 cm

About Levi Ackerman

In Attack on Titan, Levi Ackerman is the Captain of the Survey Corps’ Special Operations Squad, which is considered to be humanity’s most elite group of soldiers. Levi himself is also considered to be one of humanity’s strongest warriors and has taken down nearly 100 Titans on his own. As a child, Levi was raised by Kenny Ackerman, who taught Levi how to use knives and fight against people. Before he joined the Survey Corps, Levi was infamously known as a thug, though he eventually gained the trust of his comrades and superiors. In terms of combat abilities, Levi makes use of a unique fighting style that allows him to use spinning attacks, which lets him be much quicker and agile than many other soldiers. His quick wit also lets him calmly assess a situation and act upon any decision he makes without delay.

Other Important Attack on Titan Characters

As the Captain of the Special Operations Squad, Levi is responsible for all of the members in said squad, namely Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, and several others. Due to his Titan-shifting abilities, Levi’s initial attitude toward Eren was quite abusive, as he could not trust someone who could turn into what they were fighting. Because of this, Mikasa’s opinion of Levi was quite poor, though it has improved slightly with time. Mikasa is also related to Levi, as they share the same last name, though the specific details of this familial relationship are not clear. Other characters that are important to Levi include the 13th Commander of the Survey Corps, Erwin Smith, and Hange Zoë, who first met Levi in their first mission as soldiers in the Survey Corps.
