SUMMARY

High school is already difficult enough for students coming into their own - but what about when you throw love into the mix?! Follow the charming and sometimes cringe-worthy situations that six students find themselves in when they try to navigate the unfamiliar landscape of first loves.

BACKGROUND

Originally published online by Toshiya Wakabayashi in 2012, it was picked up for serialization by Weekly Shounen Magazine in 2015. Published by Kodansha, there are currently 7 volumes out in Japan, with the 8th releasing on June 16. Kodansha Comics is also publishing the series digitally for its English readers.

BROADCAST INFORMATION

“Tsuredure Children” will premiere on July 4, 2017 in Japan. Broadcasting on both TOKYO MX, SUN TV, and BS11, each episode will be 15 minutes long. The opening theme will be performed by Inori Minase, while the ending theme will be performed by Yui Ogura.

CHARACTERS

Chizuru Takano

Chizuru is in the music club and quite oblivious to how others feel about her. She also seems to suffer from confidence problems.

Takurou Sugawara

Takurou is in the soccer club and a good-natured person who often needs to summon bravery or courage to go after what he wants.

Ryouko Kaji

Ryouko doesn’t belong to any club, but always seems to find herself wrapped up in Masafumi’s student council activities. For some reason or another, she’s prone to putting on a tough facade.

Masafumi Akagi

Masafumi is the student council president. He has a blunt personality and is thought of by others as cool. Because of his killer poker face, one never knows what he’s truly thinking.

Takeru Gouda

Takeru is in the volleyball team and has too serious of a personality. Extremely oblivious when it comes to other people’s feelings and things like love, he always misses the mark and responds completely wrong when it comes to Ayaka.

Ayaka Kamine

Ayaka is in the tea club and is the shy one of the group. Since Takeru was too thick-headed to notice her confession of love, she worries endlessly about their relationship day in and day out.
