Synopsis
Number 24 follows Natsusa Yuzuki who loves rugby and enrolled in college expecting to be the ace of the rugby team, but can no longer play for certain reasons. It is an original rugby sports, slice-of-life, bishounen anime about him and rugby teammates competing in the Kansai University Rugby League.
Background
Number 24 is an original anime being produced by Movic and set to debut in January 2020. The staff includes original creator Kei Mori, director Shigeru Kimiya, screenwriter and series composition by Rika Nakase, animation director and character designer Saori Sakaguchi, and original illustrator YukiKana. The opening theme will be “Set” by Masanori Kobayashi and the ending songs, of which there are three, will be “Kimi to Iru nara” by Kengo Kawanishi and Ryota Suzuki, “Comical Try!!” by Kawanishi and Junishi Yanagita, and “Every Fight” by Kawanishi and Shohei Komatsu.

Yu Mashiro (Voiced by: Ayumu Murase)
Yu is a scrum-half. He reveres Natsusa and has a sincere personality.
Natsusa Yuzuki (Voiced by: Kengo Kawanishi)
Natsusa is a left wing who loves rugby. He is sadistic and sharp-tongued.
Seiichiro Jingyoji (Voiced by: Ryota Suzuki)
Seiichiro is a taciturn fullback. He is always by Natsusa’s side and he’s been his friend since childhood.
Yayoi Tsuzura (Voiced by: Aoi Ichikawa)
Yayoi is a chill freshman reserve player who loves food.
Gakuto Zaitsu (Voiced by: Hinata Tadokoro)
Gakuto is a captain and hooker. He is reliable and feared by even his friends.
Ibuki Ueoka (Voiced by: Junichi Yanagita)
Ibuki is a former top player who wasn’t as good as Natsusa.
Kazutaka Hongo (Voiced by: Kaito Ishikawa)
Kazutaka is a number eight. He has earned the nickname “Destroyer of the Forwards” and is Madoka’s haughty little brother.
Ethan Taylor (Voiced by: Kazuyuki Okitsu)
Ethan is a number eight. He is easygoing and chipper on and off the field.
Makoto Someya (Voiced by: Kentaro Kumagai)
Makoto is a stand-off hoping to obtain the same position as Ibuki.
Taisei Uchinashi (Voiced by: Makoto Furukawa)
Taisei is a blindside-flanker. He is headstrong and clashes with Ibuki.
Sunao Konoe (Voiced by: Masamu Ono)
Sunao is a right center. He is from Kyoto. His personality is sadistic like Natsusa.
Ren Tamashiro (Voiced by: Mizuki Chiba)
Ren is a rightside lock. He loves muscles and himself.
Tsugen Sasaki (Voiced by: Shinnosuke Murashima)
Tsugen is a rightside flanker. He likes to do a good deed every day. He gets along well with Seiichiro.
Ikuto Yufu (Voiced by: Shinnosuke Tachibana)
Ikuto is the vice-captain and left center. He’s always watching out for Gakuto.
Yasunari Tsuru (Voiced by: Shohei Komatsu)
Yasunari is a left wing. He has a bright personality and complicated relationship with Natsusa.
Madoka Hongo (Voiced by: Soma Saito)
Madoka is a fullback who has earned the nickname “Creator of the Backs.” He went to the same high school as Natsusa.
Fuga Saito (Voiced by: Takuya Kodama)
Fuga is a beloved rightside prop and team mascot of a sort.
Li Hongbin (Voiced by: Yuki Inoue)
Li is a rightside back. He thinks logically and rationally about all the ways to win at any cost. He is an exchange student.
