From the very beginning of the series, Dragon Ball has always been about bringing it up to the next level with a stronger villain in each story arc. Going from a spoiled child-like emperor seeking the dragon balls to wish for world domination, to an immortal god, hell-bent on the annihilation of the human race. Dragon Ball Super Son Goku Fes!! Vol. 14 Figure

A slightly darker coloration gives a more solid and serious look to this figure than the brightly colored anime style offerings. With arguably more detail than a lot of other figures especially in the clothing folds and muscle separation, the bar for quality is set quite high. Vegito being a fusion of Goku and Vegeta means he has access to both of their fighting styles and oftentimes will combine them or techniques to make a unique style. The blue gi and sash are reminiscent of Goku’s attire with the orange gi becoming the undergarment and the boots and gloves are very Vegeta-esque. Ichiban Figure Dragon Ball Extreme Saiyan Super Saiyan God SS Vegito Figure

This figure is the ultimate Vegito figure. The textures, coloration, and shading are all top level. Not only does the color match the source material perfectly, but it also adds to it with deep 3D shading and highlights. Bandai pulled no punches in crafting this masterpiece. The paintwork shines all over accentuating the separation between muscles and even some veins and striations. Hair is colored darker at the root and getting lighter as it gets longer. Vegito is a mix of Goku and Vegeta; some argue that Vegeta is the dominating personality though due to Vegito’s propensity for toying with and taunting his enemies. This could also be in part due to Vegito’s huge power level and self-confidence. The pose displayed in this figure is one of self-assuredness; he knows he is the most powerful fighter.

About Super Saiyan Blue Vegito

Vegito is the fusion of Vegeta and Goku and appears in Dragon Ball Z in base and Super Saiyan form. In Dragon Ball Super, he appears in Super Saiyan Blue form.

Background

The potara earrings are worn by the Supreme Kais. When used by Supreme Kais the fusion is permanent as seen in Elder Kai and Kibito Kai. However, when the potara earrings are used by mortals, the effect is temporary; either until the earrings are removed, or the time limit runs out. The temporary version is supposed to last for one hour. Particularly strong users might experience a shortened time limit though, like Vegito in his fight against Fused Zamasu.

Special Abilities

Vegito takes the best of Goku and Vegeta and multiplies them. Potara is said to be the strongest type of fusion as noted during the series by multiple characters.

Other Important Dragon Ball Super Characters

Few characters have witnessed the effects of the potara fusion up close until the Universal Survival Saga of Dragon Ball Super. One particular saga that featured the potara earrings with a fair degree of prominence was the Future Trunks Saga, also from Dragon Ball Super. Two fusions fought it out in an exhausting but relatively short battle, Fused Zamasu (Goku Black and Zamasu) and Vegito (Goku and Vegeta).

Zamasu / Goku Black

Zamasu and Goku Black fused to form Fused Zamasu. The fusion left Goku and Vegeta no choice but to follow suit and fuse too. Fused Zamasu consisted of one part immortal Zamasu and one part mortal Zamasu (Goku Black); this presented the problem of regeneration on only one side of the fusion. The Kamehameha blast he received was strong enough to kill the non-immortal side of his body, leaving it regenerating as a malformed purple slime.

Goku / Vegeta

Goku and Vegeta fused to create the indomitable Vegito. Vegito completely crushed Fused Zamasu and managed to kill off his non-immortal side. Unfortunately, though, Super Saiyan Blue Vegito uses such unbridled raw power, that the supposedly one-hour fusion was cut dramatically short, ending the fusion mid-attack.
