Super Saiyan Vegeta Dragon Ball - Figures

First serialized in Shonen not Jump in December 1984 Dragon Ball went on to become one of Jump's most successful manga and its author Toriyama Akira became a manga legend. The original Dragon Ball anime was first broadcast in February 1986 and saw a long successful run until transitioning to the more action-focused Dragon Ball Z in April 1989. With it brought a number of changes to the theme of the show. A deeper underlying story was created with several main characters introduced and developed across the series. One of these characters is the cold-hearted, ruthless villain turned anti-hero turned hero, Vegeta. His original incarnation is that of a proud and terrifying Saiyan warrior hell-bent on overthrowing his master, Frieza. Hoping to use Earth's dragon balls to wish for immortality, Vegeta came to Earth with Nappa and his story doesn't end there. A fan favorite and a strong rival for Son Goku, Vegeta has a number of figures in his Super Saiyan form available such the “Dragon Ball Z Grandista Super Saiyan Vegeta”, “Dragon Ball Z Resolution of Soldiers Vol. 2: Vegeta”, “Vegeta -Final Flash!-” and the “Super Legend Battle Figure Super Saiyan Vegeta”.

The proudest character in the series is also one of the strongest. Even more so when he unlocks his legendary Saiyan form, Super Saiyan. With his rivalry against Son Goku fueling him, Vegeta decided he'd stop at nothing to get ahead. However, seeing not only the future stranger (Trunks) but also Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan on Earth he was furious. In his rage, he embarked on a quest to transform into a Super Saiyan while the Z-Warriors were awaiting the coming of the androids. This figure is Vegeta’s costume from the Majin Buu saga. Battle worn with tears on the shoulders and legs, the level of detail is remarkable. The shading and coloring make this figure look like a hyper-realistic anime come to life.

Dragon Ball Z Resolution of Soldiers Vol. 2: Vegeta Figure

The appearance of Vegeta during the Android Saga was a relief until he transformed and terrified everyone. Vegeta becoming a super Saiyan in Goku’s absence was something for which nobody was prepared; least of all Android 19. Non-articulated and standing at 17cm tall Vegeta is seen brushing off the effects of a strike to the jaw. Decked out in his Saiyan armor with immaculately detailed shading. Dragon Ball Z Vegeta -Final Flash!- (Re-run) Figure

Final Flash! The technique that Vegeta developed in order to defeat Cell during his time in the hyperbolic time chamber with Trunks. With arms out to the sides and a lengthy charge time, the final flashes firing pose is with hands outstretched, palms together at the wrist and the entire body braced for the impact. Powerful enough to destroy the Earth easily if misfired, Vegeta took great care when using the technique against an arrogant Cell. Dragon Ball Super Legend Battle Figure Super Saiyan Vegeta Figure

It goes without saying that Vegeta is a very interesting character. Starting out as the prideful prince of a lost race and ending up in second place to a commoner. Vegeta has had it rough. Through it all though, it seems he has the ability to make the right choices and even leans into a little redemption now and again. That all came crashing down though when he let the evil wizard Babidi get into his mind. Babidi, infusing Vegeta with the powers of Majin Buu sought to use Vegeta to awaken Buu and wreak havoc on the universe; Vegeta just wanted a rematch. 250mm with interchangeable hands and face parts for devastating poses.

About Vegeta

Vegeta is one of the most complex characters in the Dragon Ball universe and serves as a very good foil to Goku’s happy-go-lucky attitude. Vegeta, being born the prince of the Saiyan race, was genetically gifted with a high power level and battle ability exceeding that of his peers. This led to an arrogant and extremely prideful nature; sometimes a flaw, sometimes a motivator. Losing his fight with Goku on Earth enraged Vegeta and sent him to Namek in search of the Namekian Dragon Balls. Vegeta’s power exploded on Namek due to his recently gained battle experience on Earth. Losing multiple times to gain zenkai boots, Vegeta managed to plow through Frieza’s right-hand men, Dodoria and Zarbon. It wasn’t until the Ginyu Force showed up that Vegeta faced any kind of difficulty. Post-Namek Vegeta was again humiliated to see Goku and Trunks turn Super Saiyan before him. He set out to achieve the form his own way, to return just as the Androids appear. Vegeta is a classic villain turned hero and is now an indispensable member of the team.

Other Important Dragon Ball Characters

Goku is of course the most important character opposite Vegeta. To a lesser degree Frieza and then his family, Bulma, and Trunks. Surpassing Goku is what Vegeta lives for; that and protecting his family. He will never forgive Frieza for his actions against the Saiyan race but acknowledged that Goku took revenge for the Saiyans by defeating Frieza on Namek. Vegeta gradually turned a new leaf when he got together with Bulma and had his son Trunks, whom he loves very much (the evil Majin possessed Vegeta hugs his son before self-destructing to attempt to kill Majin Buu).
