Shalltear Bloodfallen Overlord - Figures

The Overlord franchise began is a dark fantasy novel series written by Kugane Maruyama. It was first published online on a website named Arcadia in 2010 and later on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2012. The latter website was later acquired by Enterbrain, a publishing division of Kadokawa Productions, which printed the first volume of the series in July 2012. Three years after the print release of the series, an anime adaptation produced by studio Madhouse was aired on television beginning in September 2015. Two other seasons were subsequently greenlit and aired in January and July 2018 respectively. As the popularity of the series grew among readers and viewers, the fans’ desire for merchandise grew as well. Although there are many kinds of merchandise for fans to choose from, one of the most popular forms of merchandise fans enjoy collecting are figures of their favorite characters. One such character is Shalltear Bloodfallen, the vampiric Floor Guardian of Floor 1 through Floor 3. Overlord Shalltear Bloodfallen 1/7 Scale Figure

This scale figure from Kaitendo features the proud True Vampire, Shalltear Bloodfallen, as she stands elegantly posed holding a parasol over her shoulder. Her dress includes a dark purple dress and a large, rounded violet and red Victorian-style skirt lined with white lace. A large red ribbon is also attached to the top of her skirt and hangs below her knees. Part of Shalltear’s head is covered in a hood that matches her dress, while her long silver hair is tied into a ponytail with a ribbon as it falls down and around her back. The parasol she holds is a glossy black and red, which gives it a rather shiny finish.

Overlord Shalltear: Swimsuit Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure

This unique figure from eStream has Shalltear wearing a swimsuit, which reveals a lot more of her pale, porcelain skin that she is used to. She is sitting on top of a crimson red rose with one arm held under her chest and the other raised behind her head, creating a rather charming pose. Although she usually wears her hair in a ponytail, this figure changes things up by putting her hair into twin-tails that fall down all the way to the ground. Her expression is also quite unexpected, as the proud and confident expression one might expect is replaced with an embarrassed and vulnerable one. The swimsuit Shalltear is wearing comes from her original outfit, as it shares the same color palette and lace trim. The base of the figure also has an intricate spiraled pattern of water and blood, alluding to Shalltear’s vampiric nature. All in all, this figure may be quite pricey, but its attention to detail and its unique outfit is sure to have fans of the character wanting to add it to their collection.

[Complete Set w/ Bonus] Overlord Albedo & Shalltear: Swimsuit Ver. 1/7 Scale Figures

This set of scale figures from eStream features the previously mentioned Shalltear swimsuit figure and a matching swimsuit figure of the succubus, Albedo. Both figures capture the more alluring and seductive sides of both Albedo and Shalltear. On one hand, there is the more mature Albedo, who wears a white two-piece swimsuit that contrasts perfectly with her jet black wings. On the other hand, however, there is the petite Shalltear sporting a black and pink one-piece swimsuit. As a bonus, this set also includes a double-sided dakimakura (body pillow) cover with both Albedo and Shalltear’s swimsuit designs on it.

About Shalltear Bloodfallen

Shalltear Bloodfallen is one of the Floor Guardian NPCs of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. She was created by Peroroncino, one of the members of the Ainz Ooal Gown guild. As one of the few True Vampires in the series, she is far more powerful and - when showing her true form - monstrous than the much more common Lesser Vampires found in Overlord. Generally speaking, Shalltear is very proud of her position as a Floor Guardian and takes it very seriously, causing her to become easily frustrated and angry at her own failures. Despite being quite flirtatious toward many different characters, she does have a naive side that comes through at times.

Other Important Overlord Characters

The relationship between Shalltear and Ainz Ooal Gown is a rather unusual one. Although Shalltear highly respects Ainz as the leader of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Shalltear is deeply in love with Ainz and desires to be the object of his affection. Due to Ainz’s undead nature, however, he has little interest in her advances. Shalltear is also the romantic rival of Albedo, who often competes with Shalltear for Ainz’s attention. This romantic rivalry can sometimes escalate to violence, with the two not afraid to harm each other despite Albedo being Shalltear’s direct superior.
