About Char Aznable

Char Aznable is a Captain leading the forces of the Principality of Zeon and acts as the antagonist of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. As a Captain, Char is incredibly skilled in combat and rarely has issues dealing with enemies himself. After he is defeated by Amuro Ray, Char begins testing many different Mobile Suits in an attempt to reclaim his pride. This grudge eventually results in Char completing his custom mecha Sazabi, which proves to be quite formidable. Although Char was originally an antagonist in Mobile Suit Gundam, he takes on the alias Quattro Bajeena and fights alongside the Earth Federation in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam before eventually returning to his antagonist role.

Other Important Gundam Characters

Amuro Ray, one of the main characters in the original Gundam series, is a character that has a profound effect on Char. In the original series, Amuro is one of the few pilots that bested Char in battle, leading to Char eventually building his Sazabi to defeat Amuro once again. Char also developed a romantic interest in Lalah Sune, who was accidentally killed by Amuro when battling Char’s Gelgoog. This unfortunate event caused Char to deeply despise Amuro, causing him to nearly forget his desire for revenge against the Zabi family in the process. One of the romantic interests of Amuro is Sayla mass, who is Char’s younger sister.
