NieR: Automata is an action role-playing game that was developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 in February 2017. The game was also later ported to other platforms, like Windows and Xbox One in March 2017 and June 2018 respectively. Like with PlatinumGame’s other renowned works like Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, fans love NieR: Automata for its engaging action-oriented combat and interesting world. Since the world of the game is set in the distant future, nearly every character is mechanical in nature. Square Enix Masterline NieR: Automata Standard Ver. 1/4 Scale Statue Figure
This figure from Square Enix was created in a collaborative effort with Prime 1 Studio to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of NieR: Automata’s predecessor, NieR. It shows all three of the main playable characters from NieR: Automata, 2B, 9S, and A2 in immaculate detail. Things like the clothing the characters wear have varying textures and finishes that give the figure a more realistic look while their weapons look nearly lifelike. This can be seen especially in 9S’ outfit, which has numerous stitches, buttons, and belts that are all perfectly recreated in this figure. Each character is also standing on a base sculpted to look like the remains of various Machines, which help tie the figure all together. This figure also includes swappable head parts for 2B and a title plate. Although the price tag for this exquisite masterpiece is quite intimidating, the amount of care put into it certainly makes it the ultimate piece to add to one’s collection.

NieR: Automata Trading Arts Mini Figure Box Set
This set of blind-boxed mini-figures includes 10 random figures from a pool of 10 different figures. Each figure in the collection has a cute, chibi-style look with large heads, exaggerated eyes, and tiny bodies. Two of the figures in this particular collection are of 9S, which have him wearing his classic black jacket and shorts with matching boots. One figure has 9S wearing his blindfold-like visor while the other figure removes it, revealing his pale light blue eyes. Altogether, this collection includes two variations of 5 different characters and a secret figure. About 9S
YoRHa No. 9 Type S (also known as 9S) is a Scanner Android that often accompanies YoRHa No. 2 Type B (also known as 2B). Since combat is often left to 2B, 9S’s main duty is to gather helpful information, though 9S is capable of combat himself. Although other Androids like 2B generally do not express many emotions, 9S often displays an eager, optimistic, and playful personality. As a YoRHa Scanner Android, 9S inherently desires to know about the world around him and is naturally distrustful toward Machines, as Machines are the enemy of YoRHa and humanity. That said, 9S desires to learn more about the Machines and is not afraid to ask questions that most other Androids would avoid.
Other Important Characters
YoRHa No. 2 Type B is a combat-oriented Android that 9S often provides support for in their mission to fight against the Machines. Although 9S’s playful, curious nature and 2B’s cold, calculating personality may clash, the two do come to care for one another through their travels, though the exact nature of this relationship is not explicitly clear. Another YoRHa Android the pair comes across is A2, who had abandoned YoRHa and was ordered to be destroyed by 2B’s superiors.
