OtapediaDabi My Hero Academia - Figures

My Hero Academia is an immensely popular manga that made its debut in the Japanese comic Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014 and has continued its run for over 6 years with no sign of stopping. My Hero Academia is set in Japan in a universe where heroes and villains are a part of society with special hero schools and successful heroes achieving a celebrity-like level of fame. All Might is the number one hero in the world, with unrivaled powers acting as the world’s symbol of peace. During his reign as number one hero in the world, villains weren't so brave or prominent, preferring to operate in the shadows. All Might however received a severe injury while fighting All for One limiting his powers to only a few hours of use a day. During this time villains were able to wreak havoc far more freely. One of the most popular villains is the blue flame wielding, scarred Dabi. Here are a few examples of popular figures of Dabi from the My Hero Academia collection such as the “Nendoroid My Hero Academia Dabi”, “Banpresto Figure Colosseum Vol. 2: Dabi” and the “Color-Colle My Hero Academia Vol. 2 Box Set”.

Nendoroid My Hero Academia Dabi Figure

Under the black spiky hair and blue flames, Dabi has a somber expression. Trademarks scars and staples covering his lower eyes, jaw, and arms, Dabi stands at 100mm tall with blue flame optional parts and a stand. Dabi’s hair is black, still, pre identity reveal.

  • Product line: Nendoroid
  • Manufacturer: Good Smile Company
  • Specifications: Painted, articulated, non-scale figure with optional parts and stand
  • Height (Approx.): 100mm (3.9”)

My Hero Academia Banpresto Figure Colosseum Vol. 2: Dabi

Spreading Stain’s ideology, burning people alive, and destroying the hero society are this twisted villains' goals. An A rank villain, Dabi is capable of summoning incredibly hot blue flames (hotter than even Endeavor) making him one of the most dangerous and formidable characters in the series. He has played second fiddle to Tomura Shiragaki but has come into his own as a main character and has found great popularity with fans. One hand in pocket, one hand out in front, ready to conjure searing blue flames. 18cm and painted, Dabi’s non-articulated pose is one that looks equally as cool as it does ready for action.

  • Series: My Hero Academia
  • Product Line: Banpresto Figure Colosseum
  • Manufacturer: Banpresto
  • Specifications: Painted, non-articulated, non-scale figure with stand
  • Height (Approx.): 18 cm (7.1”)

Color-Colle My Hero Academia Vol. 2 Box Set Figures

Dabi is cruel and cunning. Mercy isn't something that crosses his mind. With a tragic backstory and a heartbreaking origin, Dabi isn’t someone to be trifled with. However, at 40mm tall, molded from PVC and painted, Dabi is cuter than anything. His black pointy hair is exaggerated in almost an SD (super-deformed) art style and comes as part of a collection including seven other characters. Color-Colle My Hero Academia Vol. 2 Dabi is short, but lacks nothing in the presentation.

About Dabi

Some children have warm, loving upbringings, and some children have fiery hateful ones; Dabi, unfortunately, had one of the latter. Being the son of Endeavor he was expected to achieve greatness and carry on the Todoroki name after his father, but not only was he blessed with his father’s incredible genetics, he also received his mother’s weak body. This left him unsuitable to continue the Todoroki legacy in the eyes of Endeavor who mistreated and abused him throughout his childhood. All of this culminating in an unavoidable accident where the young and inexperienced Dabi couldn't control his quirk and burned himself leaving terrifying purple scarred skin over some parts of his body. His flames are blue and so hot that it’s said they reached over 2000 degrees during the accident. Being abandoned, he eventually joined the League of Villains to achieve his ultimate goal of revenge on Endeavor and to crush society as it's known.

Other Important My Hero Academia Characters

He works closely with Himiko Toga, (with whom he joined the League of Villains), Giran (who recruited them), and Twice (who helped during the attack on the UA forest training camp). Initially, Dabi and Tomura didn't see eye to eye and almost fought at the first meeting but were held back by Kurogiri. Endeavor is the main reason why Dabi is a villain however and is what continues to drive Dabi to pursue his villainous motivations. Shoto was kept away from Dabi when they were children and therefore no real connection was made between the two.
