World of Nintento Nintendo - Figures

Nintendo boasts the status as one of the most popular and recognizable gaming companies in the world. Mario, the Super Star, and Link step in as both brand ambassadors and standalone characters video game fans love. And dedicated Nintendo fans truly do love the brand. As a result, Nintendo started producing collectible figures, such as the game tie-in amiibos, to cater to that love. Most recently, Nintendo launched the World of Nintendo series, producing a large lineup of affordable figures. These figures include the big names, like Mario, as well as side characters and scenery sets so fans can collect, pose, and play with their favorite characters all over again. World of Nintendo 4" Figures Wave 3: Pink Yoshi Figure

From the classic 4" line comes this adorable figure of a Pink Yoshi. One of the many color variations of the Yoshi species, this Yoshi features a pink body with a red shell, orange spikes, and yellow shoes. The figure has articulated arms and legs to pose it in a variety of action scenes. Like many of the World of Nintendo figures, Pink Yoshi looks wonderful on its own but pairs well with other Mario franchise figures. As a bonus, the figure includes a boxed mystery accessory. The box features a white question mark on a yellow box, mimicking the mystery block design from the games.

World of Nintendo 2.5" Figures Wave 5: Yellow Pikmin | Pikmin Figure

The Pikmin series joins the World of Nintendo line with this 2.5" Yellow Pikmin figure. While larger than a U.S. dime, these tiny figures capture the small essence of a Pikmin as seen in the game. The small size doesn't sacrifice quality. Meticulous painting faithfully recreates the simple Pikmin design, including the elongated eye shape and dark lining of their elven ears. The leaf on top of its head features light carving for the interior veins. The figure comes with a clear stand so Yellow Pikmin can sturdily support itself.

World of Nintendo Legend of Zelda Micro Land Figure Set

From World of Nintendo's Micro Land series, this set combines Legend of Zelda Micro figures for the ultimate Wind Waker display. The set includes five separate entries, including beloved characters from the game. Along with Link, fans get Ganondorf, Tetra, the King of Hyrule, and even a Bokoblin to fight among others. Link and the others can pose in an Island village or outset island scenery set. Both sets come with a hut with a working door to stow away characters for a surprise.

World of Nintendo 2.5" Figures Wave 5: 8-Bit Luigi | Super Mario Bros

This entry in World of Nintendo's 2.5" figure line features a stylized Luigi as he appeared in his debut. His 8-bit design from the original arcade game has been creatively reproduced in three dimensions. The figure is relatively flat, yet features a second layer of raised pixel areas. This layer builds forward toward the viewer, casting shadows that give the appearance of individual pixels. This adds the depth necessary for a 3D figure while producing a cool, nostalgic texture. Luigi's color scheme keeps his signature green but swaps his blue overalls for the bright white that distinguished his design from his brother's.

About the World of Nintendo Series

The World of Nintendo line is a figure series from Nintendo and JAKKS Pacific. The line consists of mostly 4" tall, highly detailed collectible figures representing Nintendo's most iconic franchises. As more figure waves roll out, the line taps into nostalgia and less well-known characters, such as the 8-bit figures and Fox McCloud. Since the 4" line, World of Nintendo expanded to include a 2.5" line, Micro Land mini figure sets, and select 6" and 20" figures. At its core, the figure line embodies the fun, childhood memories of Nintendo games appropriately embodied in accessible toys.

The World of Nintendo Series Development

Nintendo and U.S. based toy manufacturer, JAKKS Pacific, began their partnership in 2013. As amiibo rarity declined, Nintendo developed the World of Nintendo line as an affordable collectibles series. The first wave of World of Nintendo figures released in 2014, leading off with 4" Mario. Many entries in the line pair with specific retailers for sale, such as Walmart and Target. Fans widely enjoy the line, praising the inclusion of both big names and obscure characters as well as the pricing. In 2020, the Jakks Pacific and Nintendo produced an extensive line of Super Mario figures to celebrate the game's 35th anniversary.
