OtapediaBowser Nintendo - Figures

As with most Mario characters, Bowser is widely popular even outside the gaming franchise fans. His large, imposing, dinosaur-like design stands out as an iconic villain silhouette. Since his debut in the first Mario console game, Bowser still proves to be a menacing adversary to Mario and Luigi in all Nintendo media. However, there's still something endearing about the Koopa king. Here are three sweet Bowser figures fans can use to display their love: "Super Mario Odyssey Bowser Wedding Outfit amiibo," "S.H. Figuarts Bowser Super Mario," and "Super Mario 3D Land Figures - Bowser."

Super Mario Odyssey Bowser Wedding Outfit amiibo Figure

This near field communication figure gives fans access to more game content and presents Bowser in sparkly wedding attire. Bowser stands with one hand on his chest and the other reaching out in a pleading pose. A pleasant, almost sheepish smile replaces his usually menacing grimace. His hands and tail have a textured finish, calling back to the Koopa design's reptilian roots. His pearly white suit features a carved crosshatch pattern. The spiked cuffs on his arms and wrists receive a glamorous, completely silver metallic finish. His matte purple vest and bowtie contrast with the faint shine of his suit. Bowser's iconic spiked shell sits atop his suit jacket with intricately carved lines around each spike. When activated, the amiibo figure unlocks a matching wedding outfit for Bowser's character in the Super Mario Odyssey game.

S.H. Figuarts Bowser Super Mario Figure

Bandai's S.H. Figuarts line shows a detailed and fully articulated Bowser ready for action poses. All of Bowser's spikes, claws, and teeth appear sharp and dangerous for any Italian plumbers. The menacing aura continues with his facial expression. His bushy eyebrows fall close to his predatory eyes, locked forward on his opponent. Carving on the eyebrows and his hair gives the illusion of volume and texture. The figure comes with two additional jaw pieces, one powering up Bowser's signature fireball attack. The fireball connects to the bottom jaw with a transparent plastic trail. The flame appears to glow with a rippled clear overlay atop the marbled oranges. A set of replacement hands gives fans the option of a relaxed pose or flexed claws. Finally, a pedestal with a stabilizing strut piece allows for safely secured poses.

His arms are stretched out wide with his palms facing upward. The various textures on his body are faithfully replicated. His scaly face contrasts with the long, wispy lines denoting his thick eyebrows. His belly is smooth while his limbs feature a rougher finish. The shell displays impressive carving on the hexagonal space surrounding each spike. From the back, fans can see the carved lines in his mohawk merging at the end of each tapered tuft of hair. About Bowser

Bowser is the main antagonist in the Mario franchise. He is a large member of the turtle-like Koopa race and is sometimes referred to as King Koopa. Bowser debuted in 1985, terrorizing Mario in the franchise's first platform game, Super Mario Bros. Since then, Bowser appears in nearly every main series game in either his current or even Baby Bowser form. In pop culture, Bowser stands out as one of the most iconic video game antagonists of all time. Throughout the franchise, Bowser develops more sympathetic traits. His trend toward heroism peaks in his role as a playable character in Bowser's Inside Story. His most consistent goal, however, has been to take over the Mushroom Kingdom and win the affection of this frequent hostage, Princess Peach.

Other Important Nintendo Characters

Princess Peach is the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. She frequently falls victim to Bowser's kidnapping schemes, spurring Mario's quests to rescue her. In gaming, Princess Peach is one of the most recognizable female characters of all time. While traditionally she plays the damsel in distress, Peach has gained increasing agency within the franchise. She's appeared several times as a player character, even receiving her own spin-off game, Super Princess Peach. In 2014, Nintendo declared August as the Month of Princess Peach.

Toad is Princess Peach's loyal attendant and a helpful figure for the player throughout the Mario franchise. Toad is a member of the Toad people comprising the majority population in the Mushroom Kingdom. He and other Toads made their first appearance in the 1985 platform game after the player defeats Bowser, thanking them and progressing the plot to a new world. Since then, Toad has developed a more active role as Mario's ally. Despite receiving less individual attention than other Mario characters, Toad remains extremely popular in the fanbase.
