Android/Mobile Games - Final Fantasy
There is an extensively long list of Final Fantasy mobile phone games from remakes, spinoffs, console ports, apps and derivative games that have been designed or are in development for mobile platforms including iOS, android, and Windows. Here is a list of the history of currently released Final Fantasy mobile games (ports and derivative games) on the android and iOS systems and some current recommended titles. In addition, a brief synopsis of the new MMORPG Final Fantasy XV mobile game that is rumored to be in the making and released sometime in 2020.

Remakes for the original flagship series are of great quality, some include new content as well as graphics but may be out of the price range for those interested. There are also many free download games, such as Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Unlike some Final Fantasy games that were developed in collaboration with other software companies like Final Fantasy Legends: Toki no Suisho were developed by both Square Enix and Matrix Software, Final Fantasy Dimensions I and II were developed only by Square Enix. Dimensions I and II offer the great quality and content that Square Enix’s Final Fantasy brand is known for. The first title includes all the great stages of a JRPG(Japanese role-playing game), exploring magnificent worlds while fighting evil and unlocking new items and equipment.

Another free title is Final Fantasy Record Keeper, a game where players can recruit Final Fantasy characters from previous games and play through old scenarios. This is a great option for those that wish to experience some nostalgia from some of the old Final Fantasy classics. The objective of the game is for Tyron to save all of the stories kept in archives by physically reliving the tales and battling villains who are trying to rewrite and destroy the stories.
Record Keeper can be classified as a role-playing gacha game developed and published by DeNA for iOS and android. Main characters in the core class realm of playable characters in this game are: Tyro, Dr. MogMoogle, and Elarra. Many other characters from across the Final Fantasy series are also included as ‘guest characters’ in the game. These include protagonists, long time series mascot staples like the Moogles, guest party members, and antagonists from Final Fantasy games, such as Sephiroth. A number of crossover characters from related titles also appear.
Final Fantasy XV MMORPG
In the gaming industry and Final Fantasy space, there currently is a rumor that claims that there is a new Final Fantasy XV MMORPG that is in the works to be released this year of 2020. It is said that the game will be developed by 3 major software developer giants of East Asia: Square Enix (Japan), JSC Games (South Korea), and GAEA (China). The game is set to take place in a different world that is parallel to the original Final Fantasy XV, but will continue to feature Noctis the main character. It is also rumored to feature the console version’s gameplay adopted to a touch screen system, including some new areas to explore. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 4, and is supposedly going to be first released in China after which there will be a global release. More concrete details and trailer of the rumored game are set to emerge in the first half of 2020.
