The Harry Potter Series Story

This journey starts off with the boy who lived under the stairs, and his transformation to one of the most important people in the wizarding world! Set in England, Harry learns about his powers that he is aware of, and even those he is unaware of. Here is a brief summary.

Series Overview

Set in England, Harry Potter figures out he is a wizard and is sent off to the magical school of Hogwarts. There he learns many spells and also has a run-in with an unusually evil man, Voldemort. Voldemort is the wizard who killed Harry’s parents and left him with his slightly abusive aunt and uncle. Voldemort is also the man behind Harry’s famous lightning bolt scar. Every year, Harry thwarts Voldemort’s plans of regaining life until Voldemort succeeds in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Now alive, Harry and Voldemort battle for control of the wizarding world and fight until the grand finale.

Series Characters

Harry Potter has two main friends, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. The three of them are together throughout the entire series and save each other from countless dangers. They are supported by Dumbledore, the head of Hogwarts, and Hagrid who is the groundskeeper and a companion and friend. Also, the various professors who support and care for Harry like Professor McGonagall, and even Professor Snape. Never forgetting the man of many roles, Sirius Black, Harry’s only living relative who helps Harry along the way.

The Harry Potter Series Development

The Harry Potter franchise is still one of the biggest successes across the world. Almost hitting 7.2 billion US dollars in revenue is no small feat! Creating a franchise like this is a small wonder in and of itself, here is a sneak peek into how it was done.

Series Production

The Harry Potter franchise was given to us by the near-legendary J.K. Rowling. It is rumored that she began writing the series in a laundromat! While she was still writing the actual book series, J.K. Rowling and Warner Bros. began shooting the first film. Unaware of what would follow, they could only hope that some success would come. While she was writing in that laundromat, Rowling wrote the finale first and worked her way back in the story.

Series Reception

Almost an instant classic, the Harry Potter Franchise has leaped over insane milestones. For instance, the movies alone have brought in over $7.2 billion in sales all over the world. The books have sold more than 160 million copies worldwide. The books as well have brought in around 7.7 Billion US dollars in sales, passing the movie totals! With only a few “haters” until recent comments by the author, Harry Potter set its own course and set sail. Probably the most successful fantasy story ever, it will be generations before the name Harry Potter is forgotten.
