Kazuma Sato Konosuba - Figures

Konosuba (the abbreviated title of KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!) is a comedy fantasy franchise that was first published as a series of web novels in 2012, but was later printed as light novels by Kadokawa in 2013. As the light novel series gained popularity, an anime adaptation produced by Studio Deen was produced and eventually began airing in early 2016. Following the first season of the Konosuba anime, a second season, and a theatrical film were greenlit as well, showing just how well the series performed overall. While some fans of the series may find other characters more appealing, others may also enjoy the series’ sarcastic and pessimistic protagonist, Kazuma Sato. In terms of merchandise, characters like Megumin, Yunyun, and Aqua may have a dozen figures each, Kazuma still has a few unique figures as well. KonoSuba 2 Kazuma 1/8 Scale Figure

Kazuma himself is posed standing straight up with one hand on his hip while the other is raised up in a calm, yet confident gesture. This figure also includes an extra facial expression plate and a pair of women’s underwear to show off Kazuma’s more lecherous side.

About Kazuma Sato

Kazuma is the main protagonist of Konosuba and is sent to a magical world after his unfortunate death. The following is a brief summary of his background and notable abilities.

Background

Before being sent to another world, Kazuma Sato was a painfully average young man that spent most of his time indulging himself in various otaku-related activities like playing video games. After dying in an entirely preventable accident, the goddess Aqua sends him to a magical world that is being threatened by the Demon King and allows him to select one thing to help him in his quest. Although he is offered a wide array of overpowered weapons and abilities, he selects to take Aqua along with him simply because she had annoyed him.

Special Abilities

Although Kazuma is considered physically average, his highest stats are his intelligence and luck - a very synergistic combination that leads to him being rather reliable when his party needs him most. On top of knowing basic skills and magic, Kazuma learns several skills that scale up the higher one’s luck skill is, which is Kazuma’s highest stat. Some particularly notable skills include Steal, Snipe, Deadly Backstab, and Auto-dodge.

Other Important Konosuba Characters

Aside from Kazuma, three of the most significant characters in Konosuba are his party members: Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness.

Aqua

Aqua is a goddess of water and is the being that brought Kazuma to the fantasy world that Konosuba is set in. Although she is generally characterized as selfish and needy, Kazuma often relies on her powerful skills as an Arch Priest to get him out of trouble, especially when it comes to undead enemies. When they first start out on their adventure, Aqua resents Kazuma for forcing her to live a beggar’s life, but they eventually overcome their differences and work together.

Megumin

Megumin is an eccentric Crimson Demon that has an undying love for explosion magic. She would normally play the role of the sorcerer in a normal party, but Megumin is much more like a glass cannon, as she is only capable of casting one spell at a time: Explosion. After this spell is cast, she faints from exhaustion and is unable to move. That said, Megumin takes great pride in her Explosion spells and will often ask Kazuma to join her when she wants to use them, as she needs someone to carry her back to safety.

Darkness

Darkness, whose real name is Dustiness Ford Lalatina, was born in a noble family that, when she became of age, started arranging marriages for her. Since Darkness had no interest in the marriages arranged by her father, she often left home and attempted to find a party to go on adventures with. Despite being a Crusader, Darkness’s ability as a swordswoman is significantly lacking, as she can rarely hit her enemies. Darkness may prefer this, however, as her masochistic personality would likely have her getting hit by her opponents instead.
