Marley Arc - Attack on Titan
The Marley Arc is the eighth story arc of the Attack on Titan series created, written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. In the manga, the Marley Arc consists of Chapter 91 to Chapter 106. In the TV anime series, the story is yet to reach this arc, but it has been confirmed that it will appear in the fourth Season of the anime which will be the concluding Season of the anime series. This is the arc that follows the Return to Shiganshina Arc in the storyline.
Summary
This arc tells the story from the point of view of those considered villains in the Attack on Titan storyline. Eren Jaeger infiltrates Marley through Falco, an Eldian child who is a candidate to inherit the Titan’s power, and he manages to contact Reiner Braun and meet him.
The story also introduces several new characters like Gabi, Falco, Zofia, Udo and Colt, as the future heirs of the powers of Titans that Marley possesses. Also, Reiner appears again, and the identity of the Cart Titan is revealed: Pieck, as well as the identity of the new user of the Jaw Titan, Porco Galliard, who is also the person who devoured Ymir.
In addition, the wealthy Tybur family makes an appearance, who are a very influential family in Marley that also guard the nineth Titan power, hitherto unknown: the War Hammer Titan.
The leader of this family, Willy Tybur, introduces the Eldians as the enemies to be overcome and Eren, as the demon of this land. Eventually, Willy Tybur declares war on Eren, in front of thousands of Eldians while the protagonist appears in front of him in his Titan form.
The city of Liberio becomes a new battlefield for the changing Titans, Zeke has to face Levi Ackerman again and the Survey Corps reappears with new members and a new uniform. Finally, Eren’s new personality is exposed and Armin intervenes for the first time as the Colossal Titan.
The Marley Arc once again reenacts an ideological battle, as it happened in The Uprising arc. However, this time the opposing sides are the followers of Eren and his detractors within Paradis Island. At this point of the story, the “Jaeger Faction” is born, a radical group that supports Eren’s ideas that reaches a level to the point of killing the island’s great commander to fulfill its objectives. Levi Ackerman was close to being one of its victims, although his current status in the manga is unknown (January, 2020).
After the Battle of Liberio, the Survey Corps, the Paradis Government and the rest of the population within the Walls is divided in two sides, while supposedly allies from abroad begin to arrive.
Furthermore, Zeke is revealed to not be an enemy, but an ally, and along with Eren and his followers, they plan to end the suffering of the Eldian nation. While Zeke wants to make all people sterile to the Titan DNA, (so that children who can become Titans are not born), Eren thinks about activating “the rumbling of the Earth”, causing millions of Titans to be released and bringing destruction to the world.
A world-wide war is on the edge of being born and also comes the conclusion of the manga as well.

Marley Arc Anime Episodes
At the end of the final episode of the Attack on Titan third season, NHK, the TV group that broadcasts the show in Japan, revealed that the fourth season (which would include the Marley arc) will be aired in autumn 2020 (between September and December). Therefore, the fourth season will be the last one of the anime series. This announcement took fans of the show by surprise, since although the manga is close to finishing, there are still two arcs (the Marley arc and War of Paradis arc) and still several events that have not been animated yet.
A specific airing date has not been confirmed yet, nor is Wit Studio going to continue animating the Attack on Titan episodes after the rumours that it would quit the project in 2019.
