Rumor has it they were defeated by the Holy Knights, the most powerful knights in Britannia who protect the kingdom. However, 10 years later, the Holy Knights stage a coup and capture the kingdom under their tyrannical rule, forcing the third princess of the kingdom, Elizabeth, to journey the land in search of the Seven Deadly Sins, the only ones strong enough to defeat the Holy Knights and reclaim the kingdom.

Along her journey, she meets Meliodas, the owner of a bar called the Boar Hat and the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins who agrees to help her track down the other members and end the Holy Knights’ coup.
