Synopsis

Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin is set during the same time period as the original Inazuma Eleven TV anime, but it’s set in a parallel world and takes place shortly after the events of the Football Frontier Championship, and it focuses on three protagonists: Ryouhei Haizaki, Asuto Inamori, and Yuuma Nosaka.

Asuto Inamori’s school’s soccer field is destroyed, forcing him and his friends to go to Tokyo to attend Daimon Junior High School to play soccer.

Background

The Inazuma Eleven series consists primarily of games, manga, anime, and movies, and millions of copies have been sold around the world. The first of these was Inazuma Eleven which was released on the Nintendo DS by Level-5 on Aug. 22, 2008.

Arriving at the present, Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin is an upcoming game in the Inazuma Eleven series (the fourth title in the main series) that was announced on June 24, 2016. The game is set for a summer 2018 release and takes place after the events of the first game in a parallel world where the aliens didn’t attack. It’s centered around Asuto Inamori of Inakuni Raimon, Ryouhei Haizaki of Seishou Gakuen, and Yuuma Nosaka of Outei Tsukinomiya.

Anime Adaptation

The anime adaptation for Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin was announced at Level-5 Vision 2016 on July 27, 2016 shortly after the game was announced, and the anime will be airing on TV Tokyo on April 6, 2018.

The staff includes Akihiro Hino (LBX, Youkai Watch) as director, screenwriter, and original creator, Yumi Kamakura (Blue Exorcist, Wagnaria!!) as director and storyboarder, Kiyomi Torii (Ai Tenchi Muyo!, Show By Rock!!) as episode director, Kusakabe Chizuko (Ah! My Goddess, Oreimo 2) as animation director and character designer, Tatsumi Yukiwaki (Blade of Phantom Master, Tamagotchi the Movie) as director of photography, Emi Onodera (Daily Lives of High School Boys, Love Lab) as editor, and Yasunori Mitsuda (Black Butler: Book of Circus, Black Butler: Book of Murder, Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic) as composer.

The opening theme is “Teppen e Dash” by pugcat’s, and the ending theme is “Koi suru Otome wa Amamoyou” by alom.

Asuto Inamori (CV: Ayumu Murase)
“Soccer Youngster Chosen by the Sun.” Asuto is a forward for Inakuni Raimon and a second-year student.

Ryouhei Haizaki (CV: Kamiya Hiroshi)
“Devil of the Field.” Ryouhei is a forward for Seishou Gakuen and a first-year student.

Yuuma Nosaka (CV: Jun Fukuyama)
“Emperor of Tactics.” Yuuma is a forward and the captain for Outei Tsukinomiya, and is a second-year student with the “Ares power.”

Shirou Fubuki (CV: Mamoru Miyano)
“Prince of the Snow Field.” Shirou has appeared in a number of titles in the Inazuma Eleven series including Inazuma Eleven 2: Kyoui no Shinryakusha, Inazuma Eleven 3: Sekai e no Chosen!!, Inazuma Eleven GO, and Inazuma Eleven VS Danball Denki W. He is timid, gentle, and kind, and he’s capable of playing a wide range of positions. He’s currently the captain of Hakuren and one of the strikers alongside his twin brother Atsuya.

Atsuya Fubuki (CV: Mamoru Miyano)
“Bear-Killer Atsuya.” Like his twin brother Shirou, Atsuya has appeared in other titles including Inazuma Eleven 2: Kyoui no Shinryakusha, and he’s making his return in Ares no Tenbin. He’s more mischievous than his brother and always played forward.

Yuuichirou Mansaku (CV: Takahiro Sakurai)
A fast defender for Inakuni Raimon whose number is 3.

Suguru Fuyukai (CV: Gou Shinomiya)
An easily scared and self-centered coach and teacher from Raimon who has appeared in Inazuma Eleven and Inazuma Eleven GO.

Tetsunosuke Goujin (CV: Shunsuke Takeuchi)
A high-energy forward at Inakuni Raimon whose number is 9.

Hanta Hattori (CV: Haruka Tomatsu)
A midfielder at Inakuni Raimon whose number is 8. He uses a ninja-inspired running style.

Kirina Hiura (CV: Soma Saito)
A midfielder at Inakuni Raimon whose number is 7. He’s known for his icy smile.

A popular former defender from Raimon who has appeared in many of the Inazuma Eleven titles. He’s competitive but kind and has shown himself to be capable filling in any necessary role including temporary captain.

Hitomiko Kira (CV: Junko Kitanishi)
Hitomiko has served as a coach and manager throughout the Inazuma Eleven franchise. She’s calm and extremely confident.

Sasuke Kozoumaru (CV: Yuki Kaji)
Sasuke is a tough forward for Inakuni Raimon, and his number is 11.

Michiya Kudou (CV: Hiroki Touchi)
Michiya is a strict coach who first appeared in Inazuma Eleven 4: Sekai e no Chosen!!. He’s serious and only rarely shows his soft side.

Tatsumi Michinari (CV: Kimura Ryouhei)
Tatsumi is a very level-headed midfielder whose number is 6, and he’s the captain of Inakuni Raimon.

Anna Mikado (CV: Rie Takahashi)
The stylish “Empress of Raimon” and manager for Inakuni Raimon.

Seiya Nishikage (CV: Kenichi Suzumura)
The goalkeeper of Outei Tsukinomiya with a cold aura around him.
