Synopsis

High school student Ren Amamiya comes to the aid of a woman being harassed by a drunken man in the street but ends up getting arrested himself and accused of assault. Getting arrested also gets him expelled from school, whereupon he relocates to Tokyo to stay with family friend Sojiro Sakura and attend Shujin Academy. His Persona awakened, Ren teams up with fellow pupils at his new school to form the Phantom Thieves of Hearts with the intention of “stealing” the corruption from the hearts of adults to “reform” the world. Meanwhile, strange crimes plague the city…

Persona 5 is scheduled to premiere in April 2018.

Characters

Ren Amamiya (CV: Jun Fukuyama)
The series’ protagonist, Ren Amamiya comes to the assistance of a woman being hassled by a drunk but is then arrested for assault himself. Given a probationary sentence, he gets expelled from school and transfers to Tokyo’s Shujin Academy where his Persona awakens and he forms the Phantom Thieves of Hearts with fellow students in the hope of “stealing” corruption from the hearts of grownups and curing the town of its various ills.
