Watson Amelia is an English-speaking VTuber from Hololive English that, with her high energy and chaotic moments, has caused her to gain a sizable following in the VTuber community.

Watson Amelia is a time-traveling detective VTuber that enjoys investigating strange mysteries like the rumors of speaking, anthropomorphic animals working at Hololive. Aside from that, Amelia likes playing games like APEX Legends, as well as entries in the Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series.

Watson Amelia History

Before her individual debut, Amelia and the other four members of Hololive English were introduced via an announcement video that was posted on Hololive’s Twitter and official subreddit on September 9th, 2020. Several days later, on September 13th, Amelia made her YouTube debut, making her the last member in her group to debut. During her debut stream, Amelia would also reach 100,000 subscribers on her channel. Throughout 2020, her channel would continue to explode in popularity and reached over 800,000 subscribers by the end of the year. On February 11th, Amelia would hit 1,000,000 subscribers on her channel, making her the third member of her generation to do so. The following month, Hololive English would release a background music album that had a track that was inspired by each member in the group to celebrate their half-year anniversary. Amelia’s track is titled “Misteavous Myth-buster”.

Watson Amelia Physical Description

Although her age is difficult to know due to her nature as a time-traveler, Watson Amelia appears as a young human girl with shoulder-length blond hair and blue eyes. She often wears a uniform that consists of a white button-up shirt, a brown skirt, and a short red tie with a mustache on it. Her outfit also comes with a detective’s hat and jacket, which is colored tan and can be removed if she likes. Other accessories like a magnifying glass, a stethoscope, and a pair of syringes filled with “Watson concoction” can also be found on her person.

Since Amelia is a relatively new member of Hololive, she does not have any other outfits. That said, she did receive a chibi version of her avatar that was revealed on April Fool’s Day 2021. This avatar was created by Walfie, an artist who began spreading around the Hololive community after creating drawings and short animations of Hololive VTubers.

Amelia is a very energetic and mischievous girl that likes teasing her viewers and her fellow peers. She particularly likes messing with Gawr Gura (Gauru Gura), though Gura often teases back, so the feeling is mutual. That said, Amelia deeply cares for her fellow members, as several of them have mentioned how often Amelia will drop what she is doing to help them when they are in need. When playing more competitive games like APEX Legends and Fall Guys, Ame often shows her “gremlin” side, which is characterized by displays of greed, frustration, and her screechy, high-pitched voice.

Hololive English is an international branch of VTubers that is managed by Hololive Production. This Japan-based VTubers agency manages over fifty individual VTubers around the world. Although most of the VTubers it manages also live in Japan, it has branches that specialize in Indonesian-speaking parts of the world in addition to its English branch. As of April 2021, this branch consists of Mori Calliope, Ninomae Ina'nis, Takanashi Kiara, Gawr Gura, and Amelia herself. While members of Hololive generally stream on their own time, the agency also organizes various collaborations with various other companies as well. Some notable Hololive English collaborations include Cygames to help promote the English release of “Princess Connect! Re:Dive” and BOOK☆WALKER, which has sponsored various read-a-long streams with several members.

Although Amelia often plays a variety of games on her channel, some of her most popular content in recent times include first-person shooters and open-world games.

First-Person Shooters

Although many VTubers also play APEX Legends, Amelia is the only member of Hololive English that streams the game consistently. Sometimes, she will also occasionally collaborate with other members of Hololive, particularly with members of the Indonesian branch like Kureiji Ollie and Pavolia Reine. Aside from APEX, Amelia has also played occasionally played other FPS games like Valorant and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Open-World Games

Amelia also enjoys a variety of different open-world games. Within Hololive English, Amelia is often considered to be a member that is the most addictive to Minecraft. She has hosted countless streams of the game on her channel and has played even more of it off-stream. While she has helped build a rail system connecting various parts of the English server together, her largest creation is the “PPP”, which is a mob grinding farm that is based on Usada Pekora’s “TTT” in the Hololive Japan server. When it comes to other games, Ame simply enjoys playing around in the open-ended gameplay that they have to offer. In her Oblivion streams, she created a parody character of herself named “Amelia Bowson” who, like the name suggests, uses a bow as their main weapon.
