The Garden of Sinners, also known in Japan as Kara no Kyoukai, is a Japanese light novel series that was written by Kinoko Nasu and illustrated by Takashi Takeuchi. The series was initially released online and at Comiket in the late 1990s, but it was later republished in the form of two volumes in 2004 by Kodansha. There are multiple anime films of The Garden of Sinners, as well as a manga adaptation and an original video animation. Shiki Ryougi is the main protagonist of the series, with many different figures dedicated to her. About Shiki Ryougi

Background
The Ryougi were members of the Demon Hunter Association. Historically, the family has been able to create two distinct personalities within themselves. Traditionally males were the only successors in the family, but because Shiki’s brother Kaname was unable to manifest a second personality, Shiki was the one to take the role. Through time the Ryougi family stopped demon hunting, instead becoming wealthy landowners. Through this downtime, Shiki has been able to hone a number of different skills, including swordsmanship, jujutsu, and calligraphy.
