Synopsis

A naturally gifted video game streamer, Akatsuki Iride has just beaten the mysterious free game Naka no Hito Genome. However, he awakes the following day to find himself inside the game! Along with seven other streamers, they’re tasked with clearing real-life games with life-or-death stakes for the chance at gaining 100 million views.

Background

Naka no Hito Genome began as a manga series by Osora that has been serialized online via the Pixiv Comic website since 2014. As of June 2019 the manga will have nine collected tankobon volumes in print by Media Factory.

An anime adaptation was announced in May 2018. SILVER LINK is producing the animation with Shin Oonuma directing, Kento Shimoyama writing the script, Mizuki Takahashi designing the characters, and Junichi Sato and TEAM WHIM creating the music. The opening theme song, “Not Game,” will be performed by Tasuku Hatanaka and the ending theme song by fhana. The anime will premiere in Japan in July.
