Matsuoka Yoshitsugu - Sword Art Online
Introduction
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (松岡吉継) is a Japanese voice actor, known for his role as Kirito in the Sword Art Online anime and game series.
About
Yoshitsugu was born on 17th September 1986 in Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan. He is 165cm tall, O Blood Type, and his hobbies include cooking, playing the guitar, jogging, signing, snowboarding and taking walks. His favorite food is Hamburg Steak, and his favourite colour is red. He is the eldest of four children.
He is signed under the I'm Enterprise Talent Agency.
His desire to become a voice actor began when he was 15. After playing the Evangelion spin off game, Tales of Eternia, he became interested in the voice actor of Rid Hershel, and then decided to pursue voice acting as a career. Up until then, it was his ambition to become a car mechanic.
He recieved a scholarship to attend the Yoyogi School of Animation. Whilst attending the school, he also enrolled at the Japan Narration Institute. In 2009, he successfully auditioned to join I'm Enterprise. He shortly made his debut in the 2009 Anime 'Eden of the East', playing the character of AKX20000.
Awards and Achievements
He currently holds the Guinness World Record for having the most sound bites by one voice actor in a single work, which he was awarded for having 10,000 bites whilst playing Bell in Danmachi: Memoria Frese, the game spinoff of 'Is it wrong to try and pick up girls in a dungeon?'.

Aside from Sword Art Online, Yoshitsugu has played in many other popular anime, games, and anime movies during his career. Most notably, Sora from No Game No Life, Masamune Izumi from Eromanga Sensei and Sōma Yukihira from hit food anime, Shokugeki no Soma.
