These four letters spell out NERV, the organization that controls and operates the Evangelion Units with the goal of destroying the Angels that threaten the fate of humanity. While this design may be rather simplistic, it is a very subtle way for fans to show off their love of Evangelion out in public. Rebuild of Evangelion Kaworu Nagisa T-Shirt
This shirt produced and manufactured by COSPA features a more upfront design when compared to the previous shirt. The colored graphic t-shirt has a picture of the character Kaworu Nagisa gazing up toward the sky with a grin on his face. In the background, the phrase “Chanter, Chanter Humain” can be seen. These words are French and translate to “Sing, Sing Humans” in English. A white and black version of this t-shirt is available and each variety uses a different color palette other than the base color. The white design features much more muted colors, though one of Kaworu’s unusual red eyes remain saturated and vibrant to contrast with the rest of the shirt. On the other hand, the text in the black variant of the shirt is a bright shade of red. In the background, pale blue ripples can be seen as well. Like with the other version, Kaworu’s red eye can still be seen. This shirt is also made with 100% cotton.

Rebuild of Evangelion Asuka Langley Shikinami T-Shirt
This bold design from Cospa features the hot-headed Asuka Langley Shikinami from the Rebuild of Evangelion movie series. Asuka herself is placed off-center on the front of the shirt in a relaxed standing pose with a hand behind her head. Behind her is a German phrase that reads “Wer die Wahl hat, hat dil Qual”, which translates to “He who has a choice, has a problem” in English. In the bottom right corner of the design, the logo of the NERV organization can be seen as well. The shirt itself comes in two different colors: black and red. The black version uses a base of black, while the text and Asuka are colored with various shades of red and black. Her plugsuit is colored using alternating stripes of red and black as well. On the other hand, the text on the red version of the shirt is colored white, while Asuka is colored with shades of red and white. Her plugsuit in this version is simply colored with alternating stripes of two different shades of red. This particular design is made with 100% cotton.

About Evangelion
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a TV series that originally aired in 1995 and eventually spread in the anime community like wildfire. It eventually spawned several theatrically released movies and home releases, multiple manga series, many different video games, dozens of figures, and a wealth of merchandise. The story itself focuses on Shinji Ikari and the other pilots of the Evangelion Units, among other members of NERV. Although they fight against mysterious Angels to protect humanity from being destroyed, each character has their own internal struggles regarding piloting their respective Units. As the series progresses, the audience comes to learn each character’s motivations and perspectives of the world. Since the story often delves into the psyche of its characters, it tends to tell its story in unconventional and unusual ways. Many find its unique methods of storytelling to be quite entertaining, leading to the series still being quite popular, even though it originally aired over two decades ago.
