About Hifumi Izanami: Background
Hifumi is one of the most popular hosts at "Fragrance," his flirtatiousness and confidence seem to attract many women. However, despite this appearance, he is terrified of women. Therefore, Hifumi had become a host in hopes of overcoming his fear.
During High School, Hifumi becomes friends with Honobono Keitoin. Along with Doppo Kannonzaka, the three become good friends. However, after a traumatic incident with Honobono, Hifumi develops a severe phobia of women. He becomes desperate to overcome his fears and, as a result, starts working at the host club at the age of 20.
When Hifumi puts on his host outfit, he turns into a completely different person, hence can talk to all the women. Unfortunately, due to the nature of his work, Hifumi has also been the target of stalking. The obsessive stalker went as far as trying to kill Doppo as well. With things getting out of hand, they asked Jakurai's help and asked if he could cure the stalker's mind. He agrees, and they go to try and help the woman. However, the situation turns for the worse as she tries to kill Hifumi and then herself so they can be "together" forever. Jakurai successfully heals the woman's mind, and all becomes resolved. After this incident, Jakurai approaches Hifumi and Doppo and gives them Hypnosis Mics. They take the mics and show Jakurai their skills, and hence Jakurai asks if they would form a team together. This marks the formation of Matenro, which represents the Shinjuku Division.
About Hifumi Izanami: Abilities
Hifumi has a rap ability called "Enchant." Anyone Hifumi "enchants" he has complete control over and can control their actions. His Hypnosis Speaker is a mirror ball and three yellow roses. The roses are also decorated on the chest pocket of his host jacket and his earrings.

Doppo Kannonzaka
Doppo Kannonzaka and Hifumi met when they were in elementary school. The two have been friends ever since. From elementary school to high school, they have gone to the same schools and continue to be good friends. Their friendship is so strong that they decide to share an apartment. The two care about each other immensely and are willing to support and protect each other when needed.
Jakurai Jinguji
Hifumi and Jakurai first meet at the hospital. Doppo introduces the two to each other. They become further acquainted when Hifumi has his stalker. They enlist Jakurai's help to heal her and fix her broken mind. After this incident, he invites both Doppo and Hifumi to create a rap group with himself. Since then, their friendship has blossomed, and Jakurai has invited Hifumi to go fishing and hike with him. The two mutually respect each other as both friends and teammates.
Gentaro Yumeno
The two first meet in front of the Chuohku gates. Gentaro does not like Hifumi as when they first meet, Hifumi sees Gentaro not wearing a jacket and, as a result, looks like an old-fashioned schoolboy. Gentaro was upset at Hifumi for making fun of him, and from then on, the two of them had a rivalry-like relationship.
Honobono Keitoin
Honobono is Doppo and Hifumi's classmate in high school. The three of them became best friends during high school. However, due to an incident related to Honobono, Hifumi develops his phobia of women. The details of the said incident are unknown.
