Synopsis
Yoko is the daughter of Koji Amami, the free-spirited owner of the cafe Rainy Color. When her dad takes an impromptu trip overseas to Hawaii, she finds herself stuck managing the cafe in his stead. Now it’s up to Yoko and her friends to keep the business running smoothly. So begins their heartfelt days of managing the cafe and doing what they can to help those around them.
Background
Rainy Cocoa began as a manga series published by I AM that began in May 2013. The manga has received four anime adaptations to date: Rainy Cocoa which aired from April to June 2015, Rainy Cocoa: Welcome to Rainy Color which aired from October to December 2015, Rainy Cocoa in Hawaii which aired from October to December 2016, and Rainy Cocoa: Amecon!! which aired from October to December 2017. Each season spanned 12 episodes.
Rainy Cocoa Side G is the fifth season of the anime adaptation and, unlike previous seasons, will feature an all-female main cast. The anime was announced in April 2018 and is once again being produced by studio EMT Squared with Hisashi Ishii directing, Saeka Fujimoto writing the script, and Eri Tokugawa creating the character designs. The anime will premiere in Japan on Jan. 9, 2019 on Tokyo MX and Sun TV.

Yoko Amami (Voiced by: Eriko Matsui)
The daughter of the Rainy Color cafe's owner Koji Amami who takes over as manager of the cafe. She hates dogs.
**Meru Kashiwagi ( (Voiced by: Aina Suzuki)
A young girl who lives near Rainy Color. She asks Yoko and her friends to help her find her lost cat Cocoa.
Non (Voiced by: Miharu Hanai)
Yoko’s friend who works in the cafe with her. She has a calm personality and is a skilled artist.
Marina (Voiced by: Maria Yamada)
Yoko’s friend who works in the cafe with her. She is a bit of a tsundere and is preoccupied with the size of her boobs, often comparing them to those around her.
Ikumi (Voiced by: Chiaki Omigawa)
Keito’s friend.
Keito (Voiced by: Nichika Omori)
A cool beauty who has met Yoko and her friends on several occasions. She seems to be interested in Yoko.
Cocoa (Voiced by: Natsuko Hara)
Meru’s pet cat.
Koji Amami (Voiced by: Ryo Horikawa)
The owner of the Rainy Color cafe. He likes traveling abroad and his hobby is collecting antiques and artwork from different countries. He has a freewheeling personality and often drags though around him into things without realizing it.
