Ura-Omote Lovers (song by Hatsune Miku)
"Ura-Omote Lovers" (裏表ラバーズ), known by its official English title as "Two-Faced Lovers" was released on August 30, 2009, and was composed by wowaka. It was his 6th release, and is one of wowaka's most notable songs. On March 25, 2010, the song reached its first million views on Nico Nico Douga. The song has since gained over 7.5 million allowing it to enter the Hall of Legend while on YouTube, the song has reached 1.8 million views. Fan reaction has been mixed due to the heavy nature of the lyrics of the song. On the one hand, many love the melody which is befitting of wowaka's usual works but on the other hand, many show ardent displeasure of its theme regarding sexuality as portrayed in its lyrics. In particular, fans were upset that Miku was singing about very mature topics. Nevertheless, the song has reached tremendous success.

Interpretation
The lyrics don’t give a clear image of the protagonist’s circumstances, allowing for multiple situations to be seen in the song, but the overall idea for anyone who has analyzed it is that it deals with a girl’s coming of age and her struggle with the awakening sexuality within her. The branched path from this point splits into those who see it as her being unable to deal with how someone who she supposedly loves sees her nothing but a sex object, and those who find her suffering due to being pregnant from an unwanted child and the father who has since left her to deal with the consequences.
There are verses of the song which support both versions, such as “We do this, we do that, we do so, and farewell baby” which could be addressing either the fact she’s used sexually then abandoned, or details of the procedure of an abortion. Many verses also show sentences like “there is no love”, which also can support either theory, as her lover only directs his libido at her, not any sort of affection, and she feels no love for the child growing within her body.
“I blindly start to hate, I make plans to go today, [he] makes me say ‘by all means’”, which is written with hidden subjects in Japanese, also work ambiguously, as it can apply to a meeting with her lover, or someone else she’d rather not meet but still wants to as her split mind is in constant paradox, and ends up sounding like she’s the one who needs to see him at any cost. In the pregnant interpretation of this song, this verse would mean she’s turned her lack of love for the baby into active hatred, and makes an appointment to terminate it, and having to assure the clinic that she’s certain of her decision.
