While Shinichi has initially been portrayed as a wimpy high schooler, his spiked hair and more macho look define his new personality. In this figure, fans get to see Shinichi in spiked hair with his accomplice parasite, Migi. His new intimidating personality is portrayed in his confident pose as he stands with a detachable part as Migi. The detachable Migi hand part shows Shinichi’s main sidekick morphed into a blade as if they are about to devour some parasites. Background
Shinichi Izumi was a wimpy and kind high school student who turned into an egotistical, parasite carrying young man. One day while Shinichi was listening to music through his earphones, a parasite took over his body and occupied his hand. The parasite, named Migi, refused to allow Shinichi his right to have independence and forced Shinichi into complying to kill bad parasites. Shinichi initially refuses to cooperate with Migi, but eventually goes along with Migi's thoughts after a little convincing. Also, Migi threatens to harm anyone that Sininchi tells about his existence. Over time, as Migi occupies Shinichi's hand, Shinichi takes on a brave, new personality compared to his former timid self. Now unsympathetic, Shinichi starts to stray from his close friends and family. One of his close friends, Satomi Murano, starts to take notice of Shinichi’s insensitive personality and reprimands him for losing his usual kind qualities. Over time, as Shinichi becomes increasingly insensitive and unaware of his loss of human-like qualities, he reverts to his usual self after a few people close to him are killed. Although Shinichi initially gave into Migi’s demands, He usually engaged in debates with Migi over whether humans or parasites are worse. Shinichi eventually sympathizes with parasites, but still tries to protect the people close to him from the invaders.

Shinichi Izumi gains a wide range of abilities and strengths, partly due to his connection to Migi. He has heightened senses, more than other humans, and even physical abilities better than parasites. Due to 30% of Migi's body being dispersed throughout Shinichi's physiology, Shinichi is capable of newfound enhanced strength, an enhanced leap, enhanced speed, and stamina enhanced durability and endurance, enhanced vision and perception, enhanced reflex, and increased mental fortitude.

Satomi Murano
Satomi Murano is one of the main characters in the Parasyte series. She is Shinichi Izumi's close friend, however, they start an affectionate relationship that never really goes far. She's suspicious of Shinichi's strange behavior and awkward moods and doesn’t learn about Migi throughout much of the series.
Gotou
Gotou is the main antagonist and a parasite that was created by one of Shinichi's high school teachers, Reiko. He is a parasite that was created as an experiment and is made of five different parasites. He gets defeated in battle by Shinichi and Migi during a military operation, for which Shinichi eventually feels apologetic.
