One Piece is an incredibly popular manga series that was first published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in July 1997. It is both written and illustrated by the illustrious Eiichiro Oda, who has kept production of the series going for over two decades. To date, he has written over a thousand chapters of manga that have gone on to be adapted into other types of media, like anime, games, light novels, and much more. Since One Piece became so successful, a wide range of figures of the dozens of characters that appear in the series have been produced. One such character is Eustass Kid, the captain of the Kid Pirates and fellow member of the Worst Generation. Some of the most popular figures of Kid include the “Log File Selection One Piece -Worst Generation- Vol. 2: Eustass Kid”, the “Ichibansho Figure One piece Eustass Kid (Dynamism of Ha)”, and the “One Piece SCultures Big Figure Colosseum Ura Zokeio Chojo Kessen 4 Vol. 6 - Kid”.

About Eustass Kid

Eustass Kid is the captain of the Kid Pirates, a group from the South Blue known for its destructive tendencies. The following is a brief overview of Kid’s character.

Background

After being raised in the South Blue, Kid eventually created his own crew named the Kid Pirates and makes a name for himself by being incredibly ruthless and bloodthirsty toward others. Kid first meets the Straw Hat Pirates at the Sabaody Archipelago before the time skip, much like the other members of the Worst Generation. Aside from his love for violence, Kid is also quite fearless and will not hesitate to throw himself into danger, even if it means going against one of the Four Emperors.

Special Abilities

Even when Kid is shackled with Sea Prism Stone, he displays feats of strength that match Luffy under the same conditions, showing that Kid is an immensely powerful fighter. On top of this, Kid is also capable of using Conqueror’s Haki, something that few are able to use. Kid also has the powers of a Devil Fruit, though it is currently unnamed. This Devil Fruit allows Kid to control magnetic fields to manipulate metallic objects in various ways. He has used this ability to cover his arms and create giant arms that he uses for devastating punches.

Other Important One Piece Characters

Two characters that have a profound impact on Kid throughout the series are Luffy and his fellow crewmate, Killer.

Monkey D. Luffy

Monkey D. Luffy is the main protagonist of One Piece and acts as the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. He is known for his strong desire to help others, his voracious appetite, and his Gum-Gum Fruit abilities. This Devil Fruit allows Luffy to stretch his body like rubber which, when paired with special techniques that he develops as time goes on, make him an incredibly powerful fighter that can take on some of the most powerful pirates and Marines. In the Wano Country Arc, Luffy is defeated by Kaido and forced to work with other prisoners like Kid in Oden’s labor camps.

Killer

Killer is a childhood friend of Kid’s that joined the Kid Pirates early in its formation. Unlike his hot-blooded captain, Killer generally has a very calm demeanor and often acted as the voice of reason for Kid when he became overly agitated. Killer is also known for always wearing a mask to cover his face. Killer changed drastically, however, in the Wano Country Arc, as he was given an artificial Devil Fruit called a SMILE by the Shogun, Orochi. At this point, Killer worked as an assassin for the Shogunate in the hopes that his work would convince Orochi to let his captain go free, but this never came to be. Furthermore, the faulty SMILE he ate caused his calm personality to turn into one that could only express emotions through smiles and laughter.
