Synopsis

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 and takes place in 2006 during President Graham’s second term. After a hacking incident involving a top secret file occurs at the White House, Leon S. Kennedy and three other special agents are ordered to investigate the incident.

Background

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is a fully 3DCG original net animation (ONA) series being produced by TMS Entertainment and animated by Quebico. It is the first anime series in the Resident Evil franchise. It was first announced at the virtual 2020 Tokyo Game Show. Created by CAPCOM based on the worldwide popular video game franchise, it is being directed by Eiichiro Hasumi and executive produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi with Yugo Kanno composing the music. The anime will premiere worldwide on Netflix on July 8, 2021.

Leon S. Kennedy (Voiced by: Toshiyuki Morikawa (Japanese); Nick Apostolides (English))
American Federal Agent currently employed with the counterterrorism agency Division of Security Operations (D.S.O.) and a survivor of the 1998 Raccoon City Incident, at which time he was a rookie officer with the Raccoon City Police Department. After the incident, he was offered a job on an anti-B.O.W. US-STRATCOM team and spent several years traveling the globe on various operations.

Claire Redfield (Voiced by: Yuko Kaida (Japanese); Stephanie Panisello (English))
A current member of the human rights organization TerraSave and sister to BSAA operative and former S.T.A.R.S. member Chris Redfield. She is a survivor of the 1998 Raccoon City Incident and since then has been in several Biohazard outbreaks around the world, including the Rockfort Island Incident of 1998, the Harvardville Incident of 2005, the Sejm Island incident of 2011, and the Sonido de Tortuga Incident of 2014, prompting her to devote her career to anti-B.O.W. activities.

Wilson (Voiced by: Aruno Tahara (Japanese); Doug Stone (English))
A former Colonel in the US Army and American politician who served as Secretary of Defense under the Graham Administration and was involved in the US intervention in the Penamstan Civil War in June 2000.

Jason (Voiced by: Fumihiko Tachiki (Japanese); Ray Chase (English))
The former captain of the US Army special forces team Mad Dogs who later became a federal agent serving alongside Leon S. Kennedy under President Graham. Along with Leon, he is invited to the White House to investigate a hacking incident that occurs on a top secret White House file.

President Graham (Voiced by: Kazuhiko Inoue (Japanese); Joe J. Thomas (English))
An American politician and current President of the United States. During his first term as President, he created the Federal Bioterrorism Commission (F.B.C.), a federal agency dedicated to combating bioterrorism, and also oversaw the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team, a black-ops group within the US Army sent on operations around the world to combat terrorist groups trying to obtain bioterrorism weapons.

Patrick (Voiced by: Kenji Nojima (Japanese); Billy Kametz (English))
A rookie U.S. federal agent with little experience in intelligence gathering. Along with Leon and Jason, he is invited to the White House to investigate the hacking incident.

Ryan (Voiced by: Mitsuru Ogata (Japanese); Brad Venable (English))
The current White House Chief of Staff under the Graham Administration. He is President Graham’s closest advisor.

Shen May (Voiced by: Megumi Han (Japanese); Jona Xiao (English))
