Synopsis

ACTORS: Songs Connection is set in Tenshou Private Academy located in the huge academy town named Thrive Central which boasts 10 schools. Students strive to accumulate points for their clubs gathered from various club activities and school events to rank their club higher amongst the others. Many students also participate in the periodic Singing Contest to earn more points and prestige. The story follows the everyday lives of the students and teachers.

ACTORS: Songs Connection is a TV anime series based on EXIT TUNES’ ACTORS CD series featuring Vocaloid songs performed by popular male voice actors. It fits the genres of slice-of-life, music, and school. The staff includes original character designer Meka, director Osamu Yamasaki, sound director Yukio Nagasaki, character designer Asano Nishida, and. music composers Hideakira Kimura, Hiroaki Tsutsumi, and Tomotaka Ohsumi. Music production is by EXIT TUNES and animation production by DRIVE.

Characters

Mitsuki Akika (Voiced by: Kenji Nojima)

Mitsuki has a mysterious presence at club and an elusive personality. He seems to be searching for something.

Keishi Harumoto (Voiced by: Noriaki Sugiyama)

Keishi is like a ghost. He enrolled in the singing club at the request of Mitsuki, but he hardly shows up. He’s good at technology and likes to observe people through surveillance cameras.

Washiho Usuki (Voiced by: Ryota Takeuchi)

Washiho Usuki became a Geography teacher for Thrive central due to his interest in research.

Hinata Mitsutsuka (Voiced by: Soichiro Hoshi)

Hinata moved for his parents. He doesn’t know how to not trust people. People are drawn to him by his cheerful and bright personality. Animals often miss him.

Chiguma Marume (Voiced by: Subaru Kimura)

Chiguma is a closet otaku who loves anime and games. He has quick reflexes. He also likes girls. He’s always playing games on his smartphone.

Kai Akizuki (Voiced by: Takuya Eguchi)

Kai has been a childhood friend of Mikee’s since kindergarten. He is friendly. His favorite food is curry and rice. He is treated like a little brother by the archeology department.

Ryo Saotome (Voiced by: Tomohiro Tsuboi)

Ryo scares some students with his blunt personality and strong appearance, but he is kind to those who can get over that. However, he always harshly judges Satsuma.

Mike Enjoji (Voiced by: Yuuki Ono)

Mike doesn’t like being called by his first name since he thinks it sounds cute so he likes to be called by his surname. He has been friends with Kai since childhood.

Saku Otonomiya (Voiced by: Gakuto Kajiwara)

Saku is a singing prodigy but lacks social skills. He looks full of life when singing but otherwise usually has no expression. His childhood friend Hinata knows the certain reason he started attending the academy.

Sosuke Kagura (Voiced by: Wataru Urata)

Sosuke is an emotional character in charge of composition and interested in poetry.

Uta Outa (Voiced by: Yuya Hozumi)

Uta writes lyrics together with the only one he feels understands, Sosuke, and surprises people with his extraordinary ideas.
