Synopsis
School days - an irreplaceable special time of life that everyone goes through. If you become popular you can spend you high school days as the envy of everyone else. Urata has just transferred to a new school and is ready to make his high school debut. His heart races as he prepares to open the door to his class for the first time. But standing in his way are fellow high schoolers Senra, Shima, and Sakata! Are they friend or foe?! An exciting, heart-pounding coming-of-age story is about to begin!
Background
Days of Urashimasakatasen is a short anime based on the four-member male idol unit Urashimasakatasen. All four members of the unit—Uratanuki, Shima, Tonari no Sakata, and Senra—will voice their counterpart in the anime. The anime is being directed by Kakeru Ikeuchi at Gainax Kyoto with series composition by Hiroki Uchida, Sayumi Yokoyama adapting Fuyuka Tsukimori’s original character designs for animation, and Masafumi Takada composing the music. Urashimasakatasen is credited as the original creator. The opening theme song of the anime is “Calendar Reminder.” The anime will premiere in Japan on Oct. 2 and will be available to stream overseas through Crunchyroll.
Characters
Senra (Voiced by: Senra)
Senra’s symbol is the fleur de lis, his card suit is diamond, and his image animal is a fox. He works as a salaryman in his everyday life. His charm point is his chest hair.
Shima (Voiced by: Shima)
Shima is called “Shimarisu” or “Risu” by his fans. His symbol is a rose or a crown, his card suit is spades, and his image animal is a squirrel. His charm point is the mole under his left eye.
Sakata (Voiced by: Tonari no Sakata)
Sakata is called “Sakatake” by his fans and “Sakatan” by the members of Urashimasakatasen. His symbol is a cherry blossom, his card suit is hearts, and his image animal is a dog.
Urata (Voiced by: Uratanuki)
Urata is the leader of the group and is called “Kotanuki” and “Waffle Oukokumin” by his fans. His symbol is a leaf, his card suit is clubs, and his image animal is a tanuki.
