Synopsis
A mysterious creature named UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal) appears in Lala’s gummy case and then uses a power to whisk the Pretty Cures to a faraway place! Though they can’t communicate with words, song seems to work just fine! UMA is so precious to the universe, but alien hunters are after UMA! The whole universe is in danger if they catch UMA. UMA must be protected and the hunters defeated! Sing “The Shooting Star Song” along with the Pretty Cures to show support as this out-of-this-world story is told!
Background
Star Twinkle PreCure: Hoshi no Uta ni Omoi wo Komete is the 27th movie based on the Pretty Cure series originally created by Izumi Todo. It is being produced by Toei Animation and directed by Tanaka Yuuta. The staff includes screenwriter Jin Tanaka, character designer Kozue Komatsu, art designers Ryuutarou Masuda and Riho Lida, and music composers Yuki Hayashi and Asami Tachibana. It is set to be released in Japan in theaters on Oct. 19, 2019. The opening theme song "Kirari ☆ 彡 Star ☆ Twinkle Precure" will be performed by Rie Kitagawa, and the ending song "Papepipu ☆ Romantic” by Chiha Yoshitake. The story is said to be the “most painful and warm” of the series so far as stated by Toei Animation.

Hikaru Hoshina/Cure Star (Voiced by: Eimi Naruse)
Hoshina Hikaru is a curious second-year student with a big imagination. She is obsessed with constellations and space. She transforms into Pretty Cure of Stars and likes to say “Glitterific~☆.”
Erena Amamiya/Cure Soleil (Voiced by: Kiyono Yasuno)
Elena Anamiya is a third-year student who has a smile as bright as the sun and is the older sister of six siblings whom she often looks after. She transforms into Pretty Cure of the Sun.
Lala Hagoromo/Cure Milky (Voiced by: Konomi Kohara)
Lala Hagoromo is an alien from Planet Saman, roughly 13 years old in Earth years, and transforms into the Pretty Cure of the Milky Way.
Madoka Kaguya/Cure Selene (Voiced by: Mikako Komatsu)
Madoka Kaguya is a third-year student with an intriguing family history. She always tries her best and is polite to everyone. She transforms into the Pretty Cure of the Moon.
Yuni/Mao/Blue Cat/Cure Cosmo (Voiced by: Sumire Uesaka)
Yuni, also known as the phantom thief Mao and her alter ego Blue Cat, is an alien who has gone to great lengths to try to save her planet Planet Rainbow. She transforms into Pretty Cure of the Space.
Fuwa (Voiced by: Hina Kino)
Fuwa is an alien created by the Star Princesses. She has a mysterious power. Her personality is like a baby - innocent, cheerful, friendly, and curious. She will also cry when scared or startled.
Prunce (Voiced by: Hiroyuki Yoshino)
Prunce is an alien from PuruPuru of the Starry Sky Galaxy. He is cautious and sometimes emotional. He is a huge fan of Mao and collects her merchandise like a fanboy.
Mary Ann (Voiced by: Rina Chinen)
Mary Ann is an absent-minded police detective of the Starry Sky who is tasked with arresting Yuni but struggles to do so.
