Synopsis

Letty is a young dragon who has been disowned by his family for being too timid. In order to survive in the vast world where various different species live, he sets out on a journey to find a home where he can live in peace. Along the way, he encounters a group of heroes and is saved by an elf named Dearia who calls himself a real-estate agent, and the two begin traveling together. Will Letty be able to find his dream home? A new kind of fantasy series with dragons and demon lords begins!

Background

Dragon Goes House-Hunting began as a manga series written by Kawo Tanuki and illustrated by Choco Aya that has been serialized in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Garden shonen manga magazine since December 2016. It has been released in six collected tankobon volumes as of May 2020 and is licensed for English release in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.

An anime adaptation was announced in the fifth volume of the manga published in October 2019. It is being produced by Signal.MD and features Haruki Kasugamori (Dia Horizon (Kabu), Ketsu-Inu, Tales of Homeroom) as director with Shi Yi Su (Divine Gate, God Eater, Miss Hokusai) and Shiori Asuka (Lunatan: 1-Mannen no Himitsu) handling character designs and Kyohei Matsuno (Don't Call Us a Junk Game!, Island, You Don't Know Gunma Yet) composing the music. The anime’s opening theme song is “Role-Playing” by Masayoshi Oishi, and the ending theme song is “Shizuka na Kaze” by Non Stop Rabbit. The anime will premiere in Japan on April 4, 2021 on Tokyo MX and other channels. Funimation has licensed the series for release in North America.

Characters

Letty (Voiced by: Shun Horie)
A poor male dragon who was disowned for being too timid. He decides to go on a journey in search of his dream home.

Dearia (Voiced by: Kaito Ishikawa)
An elf who calls himself a real estate agent and is assigned to guide Letty on his journey to find a home. In truth, though, he is a demon lord.

Pip (Voiced by: Shiori Izawa)
A baby bird from a race called hræsvelgr. Her full name is Piyovelt Phelpia Pi Alpine Piyoderika. In a strange twist of fate, she comes to love Letty as her dad.

Nell (Voiced by: Misato Fukuen)
A princess from a human country. She meets Letty and his friends while running away from home and becomes friends with them. She is a mischievous and mischievous girl, but she has a kind heart.

Hero (Voiced by: Kent Ito)
A member of a party together with Thief, White Mage, and Archer. Together, the four of them wield justice without regard for the circumstances of others. For some reason, they often encounter Letty and his friends. They are usually defeated whenever they appear.

Thief (Voiced by: Chiaki Takahashi)

A Cait Sith who hunts monsters and roasts meat together with his trusty companion, Huey
