But it turns out that the team is weak and hasn’t been able to progress past the regional tournament. Even still, the team is full of unique members including Sumire Suo, a fast-footed winger, and Midori Soshizaki, defensive midfielder who ranked third in the junior high nationals, and their coach is Naoko Nоmi, a former Japan national team legend. Things start off rocky for the team when Naoko sets up their first practice match, and it’s against Kunogi Gakuen High School, one of the best teams in Japan! But even after suffering a crushing 0-21 defeat, the Warabi Seinan Eleven are determined to improve so they can beat Kunogi, and the girls set their sights on the Kanto Tournament.
