Synopsis

Hiyori Minagi is a young girl who enjoys fly fishing, which she was taught by her late father. One day, while fishing as usual, she meets Koharu Minagi, a naive girl who suddenly wants to see the ocean. The two decide to go fishing together, but then they find out that they’re actually sisters! The slow fishing life of these two girls who meet by chance and become sisters is about to begin.

The anime will premiere in Japan on Jan. 7, 2022 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS11, and other channels.

Characters

Hiyori Minagi (Voiced by: Rin Kusumi)
A first-year high school student. Her maiden name is Yamakwa, but she and Koharu became sisters after her mom remarried. She is a skilled fly fisher, which her father taught her. She is a bit of an airhead and is rather clumsy in everything other than fishing. She’s also a bit shy.

Koharu Minagi (Voiced by: Natsumi Hioka)
A first-year high school student. Her mother and brother died in a car accident when she was young, and she and Hiyori become sisters after her father remarries. She was born two months earlier than Hiyori, making her the older sister. She moved from a region without access to the ocean, so she has never seen fishing up close. She has an innocent personality and is a good cook.

Koi Yoshinaga (Voiced by: Tomomi Mineuchi)
A first-year high school student. She has been a childhood friend of Hiyori’s since nursery school. She has three younger brothers and acts like a strong older sister. She manages her family’s fly fishing tackle store while her father goes out fishing.

Ichika Fukumoto (Voiced by: Kaori Nazuka)
Futaba’s older sister. Her dad runs a fishing boat business that Koi’s father often frequents, and she works as a captain. She loves her younger sister Futaba and also loves alcohol and young girls. She tends to slack off a bit at work.

Futaba Fukumoto (Voiced by: Natsumi Murakami)
A fifth grader and Ichika’s younger sister. Though reserved, she is the model student who is good at both studies and sports. She is skilled at bait fishing, but due to a certain reason, she has been distancing herself from fishing.

Aiko Ninomiya (Voiced by: Honoka Inoue)
A fifth grader and Futaba’s friend. She’s bad when it comes to boys and studying. Though she hates touching insects and live fish, she joins Futaba on fishing trips to get to know her. She is very emotive and active in her interests.
