Goblin Slayer - Figures
Goblin Slayer is a Japanese light novel series written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatsuki. The first novel was published in February of 2016 and since then 12 volumes of the story have been released. There is also a manga series, an anime television series as well as an anime film that aired in 2018 and 2020, respectively. The story revolves around an inexperienced priestess who is saved by a mysterious man known as Goblin Slayer. As the story progresses, there are several different interesting characters introduced in the story. Some of these characters have even had figures created for them, and are available for purchase online. Goblin Slayer Priestess 1/7 Scale Figure
This 1/7 scale figure of the Priestess brings peace to those who lay eyes upon it. With a soft smile and a calming demeanor, this figure perfectly captures the essence of the original character. Goblin Slayer Cow Girl 1/7 Scale Figure
This 1/7 scale figure of Cow Girl is based upon her appearance from the cover illustration of the 3rd volume of the light novel. This figure most certainly has accomplished that, as it looks exactly like the image it intended to. The details are phenomenal and convey a lot of movement, especially with the strap of her overalls snapping floating in the air. Standing at approximately 10.6” tall with her arm over her head, this gorgeous girl looks lively and happy. There has clearly been a special amount of care put into the expression and outfit of this figure. Each piece of her outfit seems to have a very unique texture, making everything feel that much more alive. Her sweet expression would light up the room of any fans who wish to display her.

Goblin Slayer Series Story
The plot of Goblin Slayer begins in a fantasy world where adventurers complete contracts for gold and glory. People come from far and wide to become adventurers and join the guild, for varying reasons and motivations. One day, an inexperienced priestess joins her first adventuring party and seems to bite off more than she can chew. The party encounters danger when the contract goes wrong, and her party is wiped out by goblins. Just as she fears she will face the same fate, a mysterious man known as Goblin Slayer comes to her rescue. It seems that it was only a coincidence that she was there though, as Goblin Slayer’s sole purpose is to eradicate goblins regardless of who is present.
Goblin Slayer Series Development
Goblin Slayer was first posted to an online textboard beginning in October of 2012. After a time, the author, Kumo Kagyu, rewrote the story and submitted it to several competitions that were organized by publishers. It didn’t win any awards in the Fujimi Fantasia contest, but it was picked up by GA Bunko editors after it was enrolled in their competition. Because of this, the commercial publisher of Goblin Slayer is GA Bunko. From the first publication of the light novel in 2016, it has received a lot of positive critical reception. In fact, it ranked fifth in 2017 in Takarajima’s annual light novel guide book.
