This figure of Ryu features him as he appears in the Street Fighter III video game. At 1/8 of his original scale, he stands at approximately 9.3” tall. Despite its small size, there is certainly no loss of detail within this figure. His muscles in particular are shaped very well, with the veins being very prominent. He has a very determined look on his face, dedicated to being the best fighter that he can possibly be. His karate gi looks well worn with all of the detail put into it. About Ryu
Ryu was created with the creative genius of both Manabu Takemura and Takashi Nishiyama. He is described as a young martial artist who wants nothing more than to become the best fighter he can be. He spends hours and hours training his skills, enrolling in martial arts tournaments to prove himself. Since the release of the first game back in 1987, Ryu has consistently remained the main character of each game. He has also been a playable character throughout many different crossover games within the franchise, such as Super Smash Bros.. Ryu is often ranked as one of the most popular characters throughout the Street Fighter series, and for good reason. His critical reception has been positive, receiving praise all throughout the years as being a character with high cultural influence.
Other Important Street Fighter Characters
Ken Masters is a character within the Street Fighter series that made an appearance in 1987 with Ryu. Ken is both the best friend and rival of Ryu, as they both fight to be the strongest fighter. Ken strives to test his abilities against many different people and uses Shoryuken ki techniques. Ken’s physical appearance was based on the American martial artist Joe Lewis.
Chun Li is a character within the Street Fighter series who made her first appearance in Street Fighter II in 1991. She is the first female playable character within the series and the first within any mainstream fighting game. In this series, she is an expert martial artist and Interpol officer who fights to get revenge for the death of her father. Since her first debut, Chun Li has become one of the most popular characters in the Street Fighter franchise.
