Background

Hallelujah: Unmei no Sentaku is an original net anime (ONA) based on the mobile game app Monster Strike by XFLAG. The anime is produced by Yokohama Animation Lab and features Kanta Kamei directing, scripts by Makoto Uezu, character designs by Kengo Saito, and music by Masaru Yokoyama. It premiered on Sep. 28, 2020 on the official Monster Strike YouTube channel, Twitter Live, and ABEMA.

Characters

Hallelujah (Voiced by: Natsuki Hanae)
A member of the crown, Hallelujah has a gentle personality and wants to protect others. He was badly burned in a fire. He possesses a Link that allows him to control rain clouds.

Akatsuki (Voiced by: Taku Yashiro)
Akatsuki is a member of the crown and Hallelujah’s childhood friend who calls him “Haru.” She possesses the power of Tsukuyomi and has a Link that allows her to change gravity using the force of the moon. She is known in the streets as the “Child of Gravity.”

Sister Marie (Voiced by: Eri Suzuki)
A member of the crown, Sister Marie is a popular DJ who dresses like a nun.

Guren (Voiced by: Ikumi Hasegawa)
A leader of the crown, Guren thinks conservatively and butts heads with Shura. He possesses the power of Izanami and has a Link that allows him to heal.

Machine Speed-sempai (Voiced by: Kenichi Suzumura)
A member of the crown.

Shura (Voiced by: Kentaro Kumagai)
A leader of the crown, Shura opposes rotten government practices. He possesses the power of Izanagi and has a Link that allows him to control the energy of lightning.

Jagar (Voiced by: Masaya Matsukaze)
Leader of the bank robbers, Jagar possesses a Link with the power of Ame-no-Uzume. In the past he was a musician and part of a group that did charity work.

Nagi (Voiced by: Miyu Tomita)
Nagi is Hallelujah and Akatsuki’s childhood friend and is an ordinary person who doesn’t possess a Link.
