Synopsis

Tsukiuta the Animation 2 follows the daily lives of two rival male idol groups and their colorful members. Six Gravity is made up of male idols who represent the months of December to May, and Procellarum is made up of idols representing the months of June to November. Follow these 12 idols as they face the stresses of stardom, school, and sharing a dorm together.

Background

Tsukiuta is a media franchise that follows male idols who are the anthropomorphized versions of months. The franchise includes stage plays, manga anthologies, video games, anime adaptations, music, and merchandise.

The second season of the anime adaptation, Tsukiuta the Animation 2, is being produced by Children’s Playground Entertainment with Yukio Nishimoto directing, Natsuko Takahashi penning the script, and Ai Yokoyama and Michinori Chiba handling the character designs. The anime was originally scheduled to broadcast in 2019 but was delayed until April 2020 and then delayed two more times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It premiered in Japan on Oct. 7 on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and other channels. It is available to stream in North America through Crunchyroll and Funimation.

Six Gravity
Kakeru Shiwasu (Voiced by: Yuki Kaji)
Kakeru is the starter and MC for Six Gravity. He has a cheerful and happy attitude.

Hajime Mutsuki (Voiced by: Kosuke Toriumi)
Hajime has an overwhelming presence and charisma for someone his age. He is a genius who is good at everything from studying to martial arts and cooking. He also has a sweet side and a love of young animals.

**Koi Kisaragi ** (Voiced by: Toshiki Masuda)
Koi is the moodmaker of the group and a modern man with light footwork. He is fashionable and is a smooth talker.

Haru Yayoi (Voiced by: Tomoaki Maeno)
Haru is the gentle, dependable, intelligent older brother type.

Arata Uduki (Voiced by: Yoshimasa Hosoya)
Arata is free-spirited and goes at his own pace. He loves strawberry milk and sleeping.

**Aoi Satsuki ** (Voiced by: KENN)
Aoi is Arata’s childhood friend and is the epitome of a prince. Because of his gentle personality, he is popular with both sexes.

Procellarum
Rui Minaduki (Voiced by: Shouta Aoi)
Rui is a musical genius with perfect pitch. He doesn’t speak much.

Kai Fuduki (Voiced by: Wataru Hatano)
Kai is the easy-going big brother type. He is the eldest of six brothers.

You Haduki (Voiced by: Tetsuya Kakihara)
You is a popular man who likes fashion, dancing, and girls. He is a hard worker who wants to achieve his ideal idol image.

Yoru Nagatsuki (Voiced by: Takashi Kondo)
Yoru is a sincere and serious man who is called the conscience of Procellarum. He has a likable personality and is good at cooking. He is You’s childhood friend.

Iku Kannaduki (Voiced by: Kensho Ono)
Iku has excellent reflexes and is good at sports.

Shun Shimotsuki (Voiced by: Ryohei Kimura)
Shun is the good-looking, level-headed leader of Procellarum.
