False Lancer (Enkidu) - Fate

**Background

Enkidu is the True Name of the False Lancer. Enkidu was born as genderless being by the gods. Its father is Anu, king of the gods, and its mother is Aruru, the goddess of creation. It was born from the earth as clay shaped by the gods. It first had the form of a monster. Enkidu was given great powers but not given a soul. As such, it had no intellect for years after the beginning of its existence. It did not have human desire, so it was considered neither perfect nor flawed, but it could not fulfill its mission to take back control of Gilgamesh for the gods. It lived like an animal in the wilderness but could hear a mysterious voice coming from the city.

Anu observed that Enkidu did not think or reason and sent the divine harlot to it. Enkidu found the divine harlot beautiful and they spent a week together bonding. Through this exchange, Enkidu traded some of its divinity and great power to become more human, filled with wisdom and reason. It changed form to look more like the Divine Harlot, which was a much more human form.

Now with an intellect, Enkidu could take on the task it was born to do - confront Gilgamesh, a being given power by the gods who no longer listened to them. But at this point in time, Gilgamesh was still a child, so Enkidu first allowed Gilgamesh to age in order to treat him like an equal. Gilgamesh grew up to be a tyrant, and Enkidu understood why the gods sent it to discipline him. This led to Gilgamesh and Enkidu having a great battle for several days. Gilgamesh was at first angry and humiliated that he had to fight equally with something that started as mud. But after a while, he enjoyed fighting Enkidu. The fight ended in a draw with both falling over exhausted. And Gilgamesh was happy to have it as an equal and considered it his only true friend.

After spending much time and adventuring together, Enkidu concluded that it was a tool for Gilgamesh to use and loyally accepted that. But Gilgamesh argued that Enkidu was not a tool but a friend. And from that moment, Enkidu believed in its own sense of self.
The goddess, Ishtar proposed to Gilgamesh, but she was rejected by him. Angered Ishtar requested that the gods send the Bull of the Gods to punish both Gilgamesh and Enkidu. They destroyed the beast but were punished for doing so - Enkidu’s clay body started to fall apart. Gilgamesh was distraught over this and felt he deserved to be the one punished instead, but Enkidu urged him not to cry. Enkidu again said he was a tool, and that Gilgamesh would have countless similar treasures. The being Enkidu disappeared as mud returned to the earth.

Gilgamesh named his greatest and most trusted Noble Phantasm, the Chains of Heaven, after Enkidu. It is an anti-divine weapon that he trusts even more than Ea. It was made to bind even the gods. It can be summoned from anywhere that he can activate the Gate of Babylon.

It can transform into a beast and was able to change into a humanoid form by its own will after spending time with the divine harlot.

Being literally born from the earth, Enkidu has a strong connection to the earth. It can control parts of the earth around it. It also possesses the skill, Presence Detection, which grants it the ability to detect water or other Servants from several kilometers away. It can also communicate with non-human creatures.

Enkidu also has a powerful regenerative and restorative ability called Consummated Shape. With it, it can manipulate the magical energy of the land and use it to restore Enkidu’s body if damaged.
