Plot Summary
Long ago in the distant past, there was a war. Humanity now lives in “Mosaic Cities” in order to escape rising sea levels. Those born after the war and those who lived through it have each been granted their own “Holy Grail” allowing them to transcend death and summon their own Servant.
However, in the coastal city of Akihabara, there is a young girl, Erice Utsumi, who was not blessed with the Grail but cursed with an evil spirit. With the aid of this evil spirit, she acts as a Grim Reaper, taking lives of Servants who act in opposition to the will of the Holy Grail. One day, she meets and bonds with a strange boy who turns out to be the last Servant summoned to this world...

Characters
Erice Utsumi
Erice Utsumi is a 14-year-old girl who lives in the seaside town of Akihabara. In a world in which everyone has their own Holy Grail, Erice is unique in not having one, having an evil spirit in her heart instead. Her job is to kill Servants who act against the Holy Grail. Eventually, she meets a mysterious boy who turns out to be the last Servant ever summoned to the world.
Voyager
Voyager is the last Servant ever summoned to the world. His true identity and class cannot be discerned accurately, but some believe him to be Antoine de Saint-Exupéry or The Little Prince and so he has been given the nickname “Prin”.
Karin
Fourteen-year-old Karin is a friend of Erice’s and has summoned Berserker Servant Kijo Koyo.
Kijo Koyo
Class: Berserker
Kijo Koyo is a Berserker class Servant summoned by Karin. Unlike most Berserker Servants, she is gentle and skilled in healing magic.
Koharu F Riedenflaus
Koharu F Riedenflaus is the Master of Saber and the star of the Holy Grail War Tournaments. She can fight Servants by using the Possession ability to fuse with Saber.
Galahad Alter
Class: Saber
Saber’s true identity is Galahad Alter. He is a womaniser like his father and has a snarky attitude. Galahad Alter has two swords, one of which is known as “The Sword of David”. He was summoned by Koharu.
Chitose Manazuru
Chitose Manazaru is Erice Utsumi’s grandmother. The Master of Lancer, she is the winner of the previous Holy Grail War. Erice describes her as inhuman and believes she spreads evil wherever she goes. Chitose has a malevolent influence over Erice’s life, getting her suspended from her job and then trying to take away a child she was looking after. She can also exercise authority over the Caren Series.
Longinus
Class: Lancer
Summoned by Chitose Manazaru, Lancer’s true identity is Lucius Longinus, the Roman soldier who pierced the side of Christ with a spear. A muscular man, Longinus dresses in the manner of a Roman centurion with a large round shield and has a scar on his cheek. Despite her suspicion of Chitose, Erice Utsumi looks up to Longinus as a mentor who taught her how to take care of herself.
Nzambi

Nzambi’s true identity is Nzambi a Mpungu, the Kongolese creator god. She is a murderer who cuts off the hands of Masters to steal Command Spells. Nzambi is also able to resurrect the dead as zombies through Voodoo magic.
Hannibal

Hannibal is the incarnation of Carthaginian general Hannibal Barca. He is a well built man with a fabulous mustache who dresses in holiday attire of short-sleeved T-shirt and shorts. An avuncular type, he likes to make jokes about Rome and is warm and friendly to Erice Utsumi despite knowing about her occupation. His Noble Phantasm allows him to summon three war elephants.

Cesare Borgia

Cesare Borgia is the incarnation of the notorious 15th century Aragonese nobleman often said to have inspired Machiavelli’s The Prince. Along with his sister Lucretia he operates as an information broker.
Lucrezia Borgia

Lucrezia Borgia is the incarnation of the 15th century Spanish-Italian noblewoman known for political intrigue. She operates as an information broker alongside her brother Cesare.
Kundry
Class: Rider
Kundry is the incarnation of the “wild woman” from the medieval romance Parsifal. A stray servant without a Master, she is hunted by Erice Utsumi for going against the Grail. Cursed with immortality, she wanders between worlds looking for her one true love.
Ahasuerus
The Master of Hendrik van der Decken, Ahasuerus is an immortal man known as “The Wandering Jew” punished for ridiculing Jesus and condemned to wander until the Last Judgement.

Hendrik van der Decken is the captain of the legendary Flying Dutchman. A true seafaring man, Hendrik is muscular with wild dark hair and an unshaven beard.

Caren Fujimura is an AI belonging to the Caren Series and is currently managing Akihabara.
Kuchime
Kuchime is a man who was granted the Holy Grail after living through the Holy Grail War.
Caren Series
The Caren Series is the collective name for a group of Caren management AIs who look after various cities. Though they have the same name, each of the AIs has its own distinct appearance, personality, and surname.

Edward Teach’s true identity is the famous pirate Blackbeard. He is the commentator of the Holy Grail War Tournament but is fiercely disliked by the audience who openly boo him.

Circe’s true identity is the daughter of sun god Helios and aunt of Medea in Greek mythology. She is a commentator at the Holy Grail War Tournament.
Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa

Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa is a 1st century BC Roman general. He is a commentator at the Holy Grail War Tournament.
Euclid

Euclid is a genius mathematician of ancient Greece. He was supposed to be a commentator at the Holy Grail Tournament but dropped out at the last minute.
Louis XVII

Born Louis-Charles, Louis XVII’s true identity is 18th century French king who was the younger son of Marie Antoinette. Every Master who summoned Louis XVII met a sticky end which is why Erice Utsumi was asked to deal with him. She tried to get to know Louis so she could help him, but he betrayed her which left her with longstanding trust issues.
