Synopsis
Kohane Hatoya is a cheerful girl who loves to help people. Her world changed right before her middle school graduation when she fell in love with a cheerleading squad supporting baseball teams at the river. Kohane was determined to join the high school cheerleading club but was disappointed to find out that they didn’t have one. However, at the entrance ceremony she meets Hizume Arima and finds out that she is a member of the cheer squad she spotted at the river. Feeling it must be fate, Kohane finds the courage to start a cheerleading club of her own and successfully recruits Hizume as well as her childhood friend Uki Sawatari and classmate Kotetsu Tatejima. Kohane’s plan to spread love and support to all seems to be off to a flying start…
Background
Anima Yell! is adapted from the four-panel manga written and illustrated by Tsukasa Unohana which is currently running in Manga Time Kirara Carat. The anime adaptation was announced in the March 2018 issue of Manga Time Kirara Carat and will premiere in October 2018.

Kohane Haotoya is a cheerful and upbeat girl who loves supporting others. She’s also very positive and energetic, but is extremely clumsy and has poor reflexes. She became fascinated by cheerleading after spotting a group of cheerleaders right at the end of her middle school years.
Hizume Arima (Voiced by: Yuina Yamada)

Height: 163 cm

Hizume Arima is an experienced cheerleader but fell out with her previous team over not being particularly cheerful. She has an earnest personality and tends to be overly serious with a passive, vacant expression. However, she starts smiling once the performance begins.
Uki Sawatari (Voiced by: Mikako Izawa)
Birthday: April 12
Height: 160 cm
Blood Type: O
Uki Sawatari is Kohane’s childhood friend and often ends up the straight man to her zany antics, following Kohane around while she gets carried away. She might seem laid back but actually really likes cute stuff.
Kotetsu Tatejima (Voiced by: Tomori Kusunoki)
Birthday: March 14
Height: 154 cm
Blood Type: A
Kotestu Tatejima is a classmate of Kohane’s. She is shy and withdrawn but has no trouble telling it like it is and has a complex about her manly name.
Kana Ushiku (Voiced by: Haruka Shiraishi)
Birthday: Nov. 11
Height: 159 cm
Blood Type: AB
Kana Ushiku is a former cheerleading teammate of Hizume’s. Despite being the same age, Kana looks up to Hizume, and her usually cool demeanor goes out the window when it comes to talking about her.
