Synopsis
When all the fish suddenly disappear from the seas one day leaving only the whales behind, the fisheries ministry sees it as an ideal opportunity to experiment and sets up giant fish tanks in space! A facility opens in Onomichi to train prospective space fishermen and, because of a recent equal employment law, six space fisherwomen are also accepted onto the program…
Background
Sora to Umi no Aida is inspired by the smartphone game published by ForwardWorks. The anime adaptation was announced on July 25, 2018 and the first season is set to premiere in October 218. The opening theme, "Sora to Umi no Aida,” is performed by voice actresses Karin Takahashi, Honoka Inoue, and Momoko Suzuki in their respective roles, while Konomi Suzuki performs the ending theme, "Ao no Kanata.”

Makio Sakura is methodical and introverted but has an extremely strong spirit. However, she isn’t very strong physically and worries she won’t be able to keep up with the lessons.
