Synopsis
Misha Takanashi’s Russian mother passed away when Misha was small, and now she lives alone with her Japanese father in Japan. One day, Misha’s father hires a new maid, Tsubame Kamoi, who just happens to be a former member of the Special Defence Force. Tsubame has taken quite a fancy to Misha and is determined to use her best military techniques to win her heart…
Background
Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru! is adapted from the manga written and illustrated by Kanko Nakamura which is currently running in Manga Action. The anime adaptation was announced on the official website on April 11, 2018 and will premiere in October 2018. Voice actresses Haruka Shiraishi and Manami Numakura who play Misha Takanashi and Tsubame Kamoi respectively will perform both the opening and ending theme as their characters.

Misha Takanashi (Voiced by: Haruka Shiraishi)
Misha Takanashi is an elementary student who is half-Japanese and half-Russian. Her Russian mother passed away when she was small, and now Misha lives alone with her Japanese father in Japan. Misha despised each of the servants that her father hired, believing they were trying to take the place of her late mother, and even went to far as setting fire to the laundry to make plain her anger. When new maid Tsubame Kamoi first arrived, Misha greeted her by dousing herself in mud. Teased for her non-Japanese appearance, Misha has taken time off school but has an affinity for animals.
Tsubame Kamoi (Voiced by: Manami Numakura)
Tsubame Kamoi is the new maid hired by Misha’s father. She is a former member of the Japanese Air Self Defence Force. She wears an eyepatch on her right eye in the design of a rose. Tsubame has developed a fondness for Misha and often puts on a gym kit, kigurumi, and elementary school cosplay to amuse her. She puts the physical training she received in the Self Defence Force to good use by throwing herself into her work. Tsubame is a good cook and enjoys making clothes for dolls, even sometimes selling them for a high price on the internet.
