Astrea Family - Re:Zero

The Astrea family are a notable noble family in the Kingdom of Lugnica. Many Sword Saints (including the first) bore the Astrea name. Their name is respected throughout the kingdom.

Reid Astrea

Reid Astrea was the first Sword Saint and played a key part in the Witch of Envy event. He worked alongside the dragon Volcanica and sage Flugel. He is a human male with red hair and sky blue eyes. He later appears unexpectedly (by Shaula) during Arc 6 though he is definitely already dead since his book appears in the Taygeta library.
Reid is intelligent despite a front of crude lasviciousness. He is also aware to some extent of the power of the Authorities as he introduced himself as Hauroy Rallior when facing off against Ley Batenkaitos a Sin Archbishop of Gluttony. He possesses great skill with the sword and once wielded the Dragon Sword Reid despite never having the Divine Protection of the Sword Saint.

Veltol Astrea

Veltol Astrea is the father of Theresia. He had an average build with red hair and a red beard and moustache. He wore clothing that represented nobility. He had a protective personality and would put himself in harms way for his loved ones despite his lack of combat skill. He died protecting his family.

Tishua Astrea

Tishua Astrea is the mother of Theresia. She had neat flaxen hair and a slim face. She was very protective of those she cared for and was completely devoted to and in love with her husband Veltol. She was so heartbroken by his death that Wilhelm vowed to avenge his death.

Fribal van Astrea

Fribal van Astrea was a Sword Saint and Theresia's uncle. He has only been mentioned in the story so far and is described as being quite tall with long hair. He once possessed the Divine Protection of the Sword Saint which was transferred to Theresia before the Demi Human War which he participated in and died. As the Sword Saint, he was very skilled in swordplay and once wielded the Dragon Sword Reid.

Thames Astrea

Thames Astrea is the oldest son to Veltol and Tishua Astrea. He doesn't appear in the story but Theresia remembers him as having large biceps and gentle features that reminded her of their father. He died in the Demi Human War.

Carlan Astrea

Carlan Astrea is the second son to Veltol and Tishua Astrea. He doesn't appear in the story and died in the Demi Human War.

Cassiles Astrea

Cassiles Astrea is the third son to Veltol and Tishua Astrea. He doesn't appear in the story and died in the Demi Human War.

Theresia van Astrea

Theresia van Astrea was a Sword Saint, is Veltol and Tishua's daughter and Heinkel's mother. Her page can be found here.

Wilhelm van Astrea

Wilhelm van Astrea is Theresia's husband and Heinkel's father. His page can be found here.

Heinkel Astrea

Heinkel Astrea is the current patriach of House Astrea as well as the Deputy Commander of the Royal Guards. He is a muscular man with blue eyes and short red hair. He tends to wear practical looking combat clothing - black tabard with brown shoulder plates, chest armour, brown pants and gloves, black boots, and a dark cape. Heinkel is a petty man and has been described as slovenly, arrogant, and brash.
Heinkel's relationship with most of his family is strained at this point. He resorted to alcoholism after his wife Louanna fell into a coma. His father Wilhelm partially blames him for the loss of his mother Theresia. As his son Reinhard climbed the ranks of the Royal Guard, Heinkel's condition continued to deteriorate. Despite all of this, he is a reasonably skilled fighter (though nowhere near the level of a Sword Saint) and wields the Holy Sword Astrea inherited from his mother. He currently works with Priscilla Barielle for a chance to cure his wife.

Louanna Astrea

Louanna Astrea is Heinkel's wife and Reinhard's mother. She is not well described beside the fact that she has long blonde hair. This is primarily because she is afflicted with an illness known as Sleeping Beauty and has been in a coma for 17 years. The kindgom's best healer Felix has examined her but didn't have a way to treat her.

Reinhard van Astrea

Reinhard van Astrea is the current Sword Saint and is the son of Heinkel and Louanna. His page can be found here.
