Priscilla Barielle is the Matriarch of the Barielle House, a royal candidate to become the 42nd King of Lugnica, and is known as The Bloody Bride and Sun Princess. She has blood red eyes and long orange hair that she keeps tied. She favours primarily red garb and accessories with black accents. She typically dresses in an elaborate dress when out and about and carries with her an ornate fan in her cleavage. In her home she is known to don a fairly simply designed sheer dress in her favourite colour scheme. Priscilla speaks in an imperious tone and is filled with absolute confidence in her actions.
History
Priscilla Barielle was actually born as one Prisca Benedict in the Vollachian Empire and daughter of its then emperor - Drizen Vollachia. At some point while growing up she chose Al as her knight despite the fact that he didn't win the tournament she set up. She was deemed worthy by the Yang Sword and thus at the age of 12 she took part in the Vollachian Empire's Emperor Selection Ceremony. Her childhood friend and sworn sword Arrachia betrayed Prisca in order to save her life from Vincent Vollachia by instead faking her death. The plot succeeded and Prisca survived taking the name of Priscilla and assuming the life of one of her deceased body doubles.
Soon after, she married her first husband Jorah Pendleton. Over the next few years she would continuously remarry as each husband including Jorah would meet untimely and unnatural ends. Throughout this time she found herself sold to the Kingdom for her tremendous beauty. Her string of husbands eventually leads her to Leip Barielle, a count in the Kingdom who also passes away and leaves her as the Matriarch of the Barielle House. This mostly works in her favour as the citizens chafed under the late count and she was able to win them over.
Throughout all of this she kept coming out ahead despite how much trouble fate threw her way and so it is no surprise that Priscille firmly believes that the world is made in her own favour. It is around this point in time that the Royal Selection begins and she meets Subaru for the first time. She is the one that allows Subaru to enter the official ceremony that kicks off the Royal Selection claiming that it would amuse her. Much later she would join the other Royal Candidates in Priestella and carry her own weight in the fight against Sirius.
The author has said that she will be featured in Arc 7.
Relationships
Aldebaran - Al is Priscilla's knight though he sees himself more as her caretaker. He has been loyal to her ever since entering her service some 10 odd years ago and she sees him as a tool and handyman that exists to amuse her.
Arrachia - Arrachia was Prisca's sworn sword and childhood friend who was forced to betray Prisca for fear of her life. As a result of the plot succeeding, Arrachia entered Vincent's service and lost vision in her left eye but her friend survived.
Leip Barielle - Leip is Priscilla's late husband. She claims he was a pervert and shows absolutely no remorse at his passing.
Schult - Schult is a young boy in Priscilla's service and she seems to care for him.
Abilities
Divine Protection of the Sun - This ability makes Priscilla stronger during the day.
Magic User - Priscilla is able to use Yang magic and was shown to be able to use the spell Akra.
Sun Disk - It is not fully clear what this ability is capable of but the Sun Disk is Priscilla's self named ability that she used in order to remain uncontrolled when fighting Sirius. In addition to that, it was also capable of protecting other people such as Liliana Masquerade.
Extraordinary Luck - Priscilla has a unique attribute where it seems as though the world is made in her own favour and no matter her choice, she'll always be right and things turn out positive for her. She has extremely high luck that permeates her daily life and even helps her in fights. She has great intuition which allows her to make guesses that align with her goals.
Equipment
Yang Sword Vollachia - Priscilla is capable of materializing and using an ornate crimson sword that is made of light that can shine like the sun. She mentions that it has a terrible mana consumption rate and so she does not materialize it when unneeded.
Three Jeweled Necklace - A mysterious object in Priscilla's possession that transfers any fatal damage that she takes to the artifact instead. This causes one of the gems inlaid in it to break which means that it can absorb up to three such attacks before it loses its protection.
